Very disappointed with this well reviewed hotel. I can only comment on my room which was 211, next to the boiler room which you could hear through the wall like a jumbo jet rumbling, also next to the maids cleaning cupboard which was frequently used as throughout the night the door was repeatedly opened and slammed shut. Safe in the room didn't work asked 3 times for help In coding to use it and no one ever appeared. All drinks including tea and coffee were chargeable to the room none were complimentary. Tried to book a taxi for transfer back to jfk and they offer a private car service for $60 so we chose this only to be transported by a cab!! Bedroom windows are single glazed, running with condensation and may as well have had the window open because all road noise could plainly be heard. Very disappointed with the overall stay only saving grace was we were round the corner from a Starbucks

First of all I have to say that the staff for the most part was wonderful, except for housekeeping. It took three calls and over 90 minutes to get an iron (which was supposed to be in my room) delivered.

Food in room service is okay.
Fitness center is small but nice.
The hotel lobby is lovely.

Rooms are very small and the road noise is very loud. I would not recommend this location or hotel for families.

Good, lovely spacious suite, nice comfy big bed, lovely linens, fluffy towels, heated floor in bathroom, lovely hot shower, spotlessly clean, helpful friendly staff. Good location for shopping everything else you need a good pair of walking boots. Very noisy outside but it is New York! Disappointing, it was December and there was not one Christmas decoration in the hotel anywhere. The coffee/bar closed during the day, not ideal when you are travelling back home and need a hot drink while you are waiting in reception.

Room Tip: Upgrade to a suite for more room and comfort.

The location was great for a business stay in this part of Manhattan. The hotel is not kept up as well as one might expect for a boutique hotel experience. The staff was friendly and did their best to accommodate needs but they were very busy.

Spacious rooms. Comfy bed. Attentive staff. Nice décor. Poor TV reception. Quite out of the way location. This hotel is located so far east that it almost is in the East River, literally right off the FDR Drive.

Stayed here one night in mid-Dec. 2014. Every aspect was superb. The room was very clean, spacious with nice furniture. The bathroom was spotless, good size, great towels, great amenities (eg soap, shampoo). The front desk was very efficient and nice. Only wish the hotel was located more in mid-town. I'll definitely come back.

Very nice staff, good service but hard to make up for the location.
Theres no valet, have to self park and walk around the block, so the arrival experience was chaotic and confusing. Nice view of the river and bridge from the room but FDR drive is noisy. Bathroom was tiny. Beds and linens just okay in terms of comfort.
