Had a fabulous time with my people over Christmas at NYLO NYC! The rooms are super comfy, and oh so stylish! The staff is sublime. The location is more than perfect - shops, restaurants, Westside Market and parks just two blocks either side (great squirrel chasing in Riverside Park!). And the special bag of goodies just for me.....what can I say, I'm fabulous and I deserve it! Run, do not walk to get your people to book at NYLO NYC!

Room Tip: All great.

I have mixed feelings about this hotel. The positives: a sweet, funky, local bar with friendly staff, decent drinks and okay appetizers. Restaurant attached to the hotel makes a handy place for a delicious breakfast. The bed and pillows were compfy, though the fitted sheet did not quite fit the mattress, actually it was short by 10". The nightly price is very reasonable. The not so positives: the bathroom tub was old and chipped, the hanging sink left no place for my stuff and the narrow shelf opposite wasn't adequate for storing anything. I mean, what's a girl to do? A magnified mirror is not provided (I hate that) and no robe or towel hooks anywhere - just a towel rod, filled with four bath towels, hand towels. The hallway was filled with cleaning carts, vacuum cleaners, and leftover magazines on the hallway window sill that never moved during my three night stay. It looks messy. The cleaning people missed a couple things in my room but to be fair, after I called the front desk, it was taken care of within 10 minutes. Thin walls make for a noisy morning as well - bring your ear plugs!

The NYLO is a good value in a good location, with friendly service and nice rooms. Though our room had a view of brick walls facing it, it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable and the staff friendly and helpful. An easy walk to good restaurants, nice shops and plenty of people watching, for a lower priced NYC hotel, you won't go wrong. There's a Serafina restaurant in it that serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as a bar and good lobby area. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: 11th floor was very quiet and room 1121 is tucked away in a corner, so there was no noise.

We had one night to be in NYC for a quick getaway and happened about NYLO after reading about it in Travel & Leisure. Wow, what a great value and fun hotel. The lobby area and bar is hip and inviting. Staff are accommodating and friendly. Our room had a King size bed and lots of lighting and storage. Bathroom had a glass shower. The room was spacious by European standards and small by American, but absolutely large enough. Bedding was lovely in crisp white, with colorful accents in the room, and we had a cool view of Manhattan. We will absolutely make this our go to hotel in NYC. Oh, and they gave us a free upgrade to a Premium room upon arrival. All told, with tax a great stay in NYC for $185.

Lovely trendy hotel, rooms have wooden floors, thought that may be noisy from upstairs, we were on the 6 floor and didn't hear anyone else apart from a dog that barked when room service entered, yes they accept dogs and the rooms so clean we could not tell if one had been in our room previously, the lounge bar was entertaining and on New Year's Eve a free jazz band was playing, ngreta when we returned after the fireworks, if possible have rear room as the road out the front can be noisy at lower levels and next door a ladder station (fire engine) shape amend to go out a few times a day, although I missed the photo opourtunity each time. A good selection of local restaurants for dinner and breakfast, locals use them so check online and book. Good shops nearby and it's only a short wlk to Central Park and the metro.

Room Tip: High and to the rear to minimise traffic noise.

Good hotel near the natural history museum and the central park. The hotel had stylish and clean rooms and great views from the upper most floors. No breakfast was included in the room price, but there were quite a few cheap breakfast places within few blocks of the hotel. The nicest part of this hotel was, that it was close to subway and central park. We only stayed 3 nights, and with that time we were able to see a lot because hotel was easily accessable from different parts of the town.

Room Tip: There was no free wifi on the rooms, but if you stay on lower floors you might be able to login to f...
