The bed really is about all there is in the room. The front desk, bar, and bell staff, though, are wonderful, and the hotel has a funky vibe that some might find endearing. Personally, I'd prefer a Queen's size bed and a little more space than this California king. But I guess it's all in what you're doing in the room. And then again, why shouldn't New York rooms be small. Manhattan's geography hems it in much more than Paris, London, or Rome.
