Except for a hamburger/hot dog bar with a beer & liquor license, and an okay sushi bar, this Whole Foods is pretty much like any other WF you'll run into around the country. Well run, decent food and a pretty good vitamin/soap/protein shake section.
One thing that stands out is its location: Columbus Circle. Central Park is across the street, which in turn has benches for you to sit, watch and eat. Stores, such as William-Sonoma, Tourneau, etc, are numerous. As is some celebrity restaurants stacked above the WF. So, you're pretty much going there and waiting on longer-than-usual lines for the glamour of it all. Not a bad way to kill a day, if you have time.
