“If you need a break from shopping”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 24, 2013

A lovely place to relax with a glass of wine, a coffee, or maybe lunch (if you can get a table). Just off the main shopping area in SoHo, this place is just what you need when you need a break. Sunday brunch with live music, or just a few minutes in a good chair with a snack, and if you're lucky, sunshine just touching your face

“Great brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2013

Second time I have been here. Both times have liked the food, ambience and service. May be I like Med food but the extra of live day time music on weekends is a wonderful addition. Gives that old Soho feeling that is being drowned by the fashion house with their glitzy exteriors.

“Great Parking Spot in Soho”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013

Parking is a rarity in NYC, and a good restaurant is as desirable
Well AG is more than just a parking spot, it is a great place in a great part of Soho and the atmosphere is fun and warm as well. We came as big group of 9 (3 in their tweens). we were led to a communal table right in the middle of the room. A Blues trio playing in the front and the setting is very inviting and delightful. The garage door was open and a nice summer breeze was blowing in. The decor is warm and inviting.
The server was giving us time to to prod the menu and was very knowledgeable about the specials, dishes and gave good advise. The food is Mediterranean with strong Turkish and Greek influences, and I would dare call it French cuisine influenced. Lots of sea fruit (shrimp, octopus, squid, etc.) lamb, hummus, pita, Tzatziki, feta, et al.
I had the Sea Fruit salad and the Tuna dish and as a main course. Both very good. Tuna is a delicate undertaking. I will never try grilling tuna at home because I would not know when to take off the grill.
But obviously the chef knew what s/he was doing. That on its own was worth it for me. The dish was just the right size.not too much not too little which is very important.
I also got a taste from the steak and fritz which seems to be the staple dish there. Kind of an anchor dish the waitress recommended it warmly. I guess they never had any complaints with that dish. Starters go for $10 to $25, Main dish go from $24 to $35.
We skipped desert (goes for $9 each, about seven options) and with a few beers and coffee shelled $500 with tip and tax.
Hence calculate $50 per head if you are heading that way.
One thing though, when you ask for water be sure to specify tap or bottle.
We asked for water and they brought bottled San Pelegrino which we returned, yet it showed on the bill ($10 no less, $1.50 in Trader Joe, common people we get it we are in Soho and no-one ever complains about money but be real). We were too tired to argue this.

“Hidden gem”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2013 via mobile

On our way to another restaurant we stumbled upon this quant little hole in the wall. I felt like I walked into another country. We were warmly greeted by the staff and owner. The atmosphere really makes the place. The food was top notch too though!

“Very NY yet very European”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2013 via mobile

We live nearby and always take friends here. Most nights live music. Lots of food to share all healthy and filling. Good wine nice service. The garage door opens so u feel like you are outside. The place is decorated with antiques of all kinds. The area is nice and the croud is from all walks of life. The food is Turkish but it could be considered Greek as well.

You will enjoy this place
