“The centerpiece of a truly delightful NYC weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2010

Could not have been more wonderful--came here with my wife for my birthday weekend and had a marvelous experience from the first moment. Was pleasently surprised with an upgrade to a junior suite--exceptional! Rooms are exceptionally quiet (third time we've stayed here--different rooms and locations). Truly luxurious boutique hotel, wonderful staff--can't say too much about this one!

A family trip that my kids will treasured for a long time. We were impressed with the size of our room and how clean it was. The staff was friendly and helpful. The Italian style breakfast was great, quick and convenient since we have young children. The hotel is centrally located where we didn't have to walk far to Time Square, Rockefeller Center and MoMA. There were plenty of restaurant choices near the hotel. The hotel is also close to a lot of theaters and Radio City. The hotel helped made our trip to NYC a wonderful experience.

The Michelangelo excels in every regard, from location to room quality to staff to price. I've stayed in lots of NY hotels and this will be my hotel of choice from now on.

We stayed at the Michaelangelo in late July for four nights with two teenagers. Room was large, comfy and clean. Service was excellent, and James, the concierge, was very helpful. With Michaelangelo bordering on Times Square, the hotel was perfectly situated for Broadway shows, shopping and people-watching.

We arrived in NYC yesterday excited to be staying in this hotel which appeared to be first-class. A warning sign of what was to come as we pulled around the block was the cheap, cheesy, overdone signage for TGI Fridays cluttering this historic structure that must be a vestige of the seedy days of Times Square. Imagine our further disappointment when we arrived in a somewhat cramped room with one tiny window facing a brick wall about four feet away. We were so deep in this old fortress that we had no cell service on either Verizon or AT&T. The manager accommodated our switch to another larger room however the air conditioning made so much noise (sounded like a chainsaw every time it cycled on) that finally at 2 am with no sleep we called the front desk again. They moved us to a large quiet suite however situated on the 3rd floor right over 7th Avenue so we woke up a few hours later from the rush hour noise. Next time I would choose a real first class hotel like a Westin.

Very quiet and and elegant world hotel. Located within steps to all. Although down the block is Times Square, this hotel is very quiet. Beautiful lobby and attentive staff. Thank you to Patrick Hall for his extra touch.

Very welcoming employees; received an upgrade to a very spacious and well-appointed suite for only an additional $50.

One of our tv remotes didn't work (one tv that swivels between sitting area and bedroom) and someone was at our room within minutes to replace it.

Nice turndown service. Very comfortable seating area and large, soft and comfy king sized bed.

We were on the 7th floor (top) and could still hear the trucks below. Only time that was a problem was when the truck was in reverse...acted as an alarm clock.

Bathrooms were large and clean - the softest hotel towels I've ever experienced. Bathrooms have everything you need.

Conveniently located to everything midtown and to the subways if you want to go somewhere else. Walking distance to Times Square, Rockefeller Center and Central Park.

Husband said the "continental" breakfast was a bit lacking in variety, only offering scones and croissants, and to drink only offered coffee. For those of us who don't drink coffee a juice choice would have been nice, along with some fresh fruit. But this isn't a deal breaker.

Very easy checkout.

Will definitely stay here again!
