“Great value, great location, great hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2012 via mobile

Booked this hotel last minute at a 3rd of the price of our previous hotel so had reservations.

However I was very pleasantly surprised, the hells kitchen location had lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. 10 min walk to Times Square.
The reception staff let us check in early which was brilliant .

Service was impeccable, got bags taken into room and into cab on way home. A service not offered by the previous 4* we were staying at!!!

Thoroughly recommended.

Great food places nearby on 9th avenue - wondee Siam, napkin burger and Amy's bread.

We picked one of the newer rooms and it was well appointed and included wifi - about the same as an older room and adding on the wifi. Great location! Drawbacks are the slow elevators and yes, the heating system was a bit odd/loud.

Room Tip: Do the newer rooms

Chose this hotel for a weekend in October. Which in my opinion, is the best month to visit NYC.( Unless Frankenstorm is in town)

It's not the most updated hotel, nor is it big on added amenities, but makes up for everything by being 2 1/2 blocks from Times Square. Pay extra for executive room. No room service offered.

Don't bother with expensive breakfast in lobby cafe The restaurant Patzeria is right next door. It's a perfect stop for delicious breakfast, lunch or post theatre dinner. Great atmosphere.

Valet park at hotel costs $45/day. But very convenient.

Will definitely book again. Great value for money, in world's most expensive hotel city.

The Belvedere is in an ideal location for easy access to the heart of New York. If it's to far to walk, the subway is around the corner or you can take advantage of the steady current of taxies.

Our room was very comfortable with ample space. Unfortunately the heating/cooling system fan only had two settings: loud or off. House keeping did an excellent job but tended to be a bit too eager to get the job done. Even with the "Do not disturbe" sign on the door, they knocked get in. The concierge service was excellent being both informative and extremely helpful in setting up anything we wanted. An ample and delicious breakfast buffet was included.

Overall, we were pleasantly satisfied with our 3 nights at the Belvedere.

Room Tip: The higher you go the farther you will get from the street noise.

The comfiest hotel beds.

Responsive and helpful staff.

Fab little italian restaurant 2 doors down.

Doormen in particular were very helpful. 17 floors so ideal for height-phobes. Great free online check in and boarding pass printing business centre downstairs.

Room Tip: Rooms on the front side of the hotel (even low ones) have a pretty good view.

What could be more NYC than the classic Belvedere? yes it is dated but location, location, location!
It is clean, quiet and friendly service. Located between 9th and 8th Ave on W 48th street it is within walking distance of the Theatre District, Times Square and great dining.

it also has walking distance access to the various bus tours, which is great since you can use the hop on and hop off as your local taxi service if you have the time and plan accordingly.

We recently stayed at the Belvedere hotel and enjoyed our visit.
This hotel is in a wonderful location close to many NY sites (i.e. Times Square, Broadway, etc.) however located on a less traveled, more quiet block which we always welcome in NY.
The staff were very attentive.
The suites are a great size and beautiful. Perfect for 4 people to all have their own space.
The executive rooms are comfortable and clean.
We would definitely stay there again.
