“Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 24, 2012

This hotel is in an excellent location for all the New York attractions, easy walking distance of Times Square, the theatres and shops. In spite of this it was in a relatively quiet area. I was able to walk to Central Park, all the main museums and art galleries. All central New York hotels are expensive but the Belevedere was in my price range and well worth it. I had an excellent room, with a good city view, well equipped, clean and comfortable. The AC and plumbing was a little noisy but average for a hotel. There was a small kitchenette which was very useful particularly the microwave and the fridge rather than a minibar. I booked my airport transfers and a trip on the hotel website and was very pleased with them. I was able to book my return seat and check in, free of charge from the hotel's business centre. There was no bar in the hotel but many guests use the Patzeria Italian restaurant and bar a couple of doors away. They supply room service to the hotel but many people have a drink there and then a takeaway. I ate there several times, the food and service were very good indeed. Lone travelers will be made very welcome, their business card reads " Come in a stranger, leave a friend."

Room Tip: I paid a little extra for an Executive King, I requested a quiet room, it had double glazing and was...

We loved our 11 days at the Belvedere Hotel! We booked into the Executive Level, which was also the top floor, and the room was very comfortable. I believe it had been remodeled recently, and was top notch. We especially appreciated the air conditioning, with the 90+ degree weather most days!

The location is excellent if you plan to see Broadway shows. Only 2 blocks from the TKTS Booth at Times Square, so you can always find some discounted tickets. And then, the shows are only minutes away from the front door.

We especially appreciated the helpful concierge team, Chris and Rob. They helped us with play and dinner packages, and also tips on sight-seeing and airport shuttles. We will definitely stay at the Belvedere again.

Room Tip: The rooms facing north have nice views towards Columbus Circle. When the main elevators are slow...

We stayed at the Belverdere Hotel for four nights last week and could not have been more pleased with our location. Five mins from Times Square but located on a street which was away from the hussle and noise.
The room we stayed in was lovely with a really comfy bed. Bathroom was not massive, but plenty of towels, soap, shampoo, ect provided every day.
There was also a small kitchen area with a microwave and coffee making facilities which was great in case you just wanted to just relax in your room.
We didnt eat in the hotel as breakfast was a bit on the expensive side, but come out of the hotel and turn left and there is an italian called Patzeria .We had breakfast there which was about $9 each with endless cups of coffee and staff who were friendly and polite. We also went there at night once and really enjoyed the food.
The staff at the hotel were brillant ,polite and helpful well done to all there.

Room Tip: Ask for room 1622 which is on the front and use the lift located on the right hand side dwon the cor...

If you are interested in staying in a quintessential New York hotel, this is for you! Built in the 1920s, all rooms have been updated but the hotel still has that old NY feel. Our room was small but well-appointed. We were 2 adults and two teenage girls and did manage to co-exist for 5 nights! We did have a fridge and granite countertops in bath. Room was clean, great view and FABULOUS mid-town location. We walked to Today Show, Wicked, Restaurant Row and Times Square. There was a Dunkin Donuts 2 blocks west towards Hells Kitchen. The price was also very reasonable for NYC.

The Belvedere is located in a very strategic area close to restaurants and major New York attractions. Most importantly, the Belvedere is clean and comfortable for families and couples, as well as business travelers. The staff is friendly and what I really enjoyed is the free late check out at 4pm!

My partner booked this for us as my 21st birthday present. We went for a week on the 2nd of jan. The hotel is fantasitic it has new York charm in a fabulous location, quiet enough to not here the hussle and bustle of time square but it a two minute was to times square, room was fantastic on par with what I have stayed in, in London crowns plaza. The lifts aren't slow it just takes a little while if there's people getting of on floors but that's what happens with a lift. This hotel made my hoilday the staff were soo pleasant and booked us a taxi back to the airport and helped with luggage, the door was always opened for us which helped when we had too much shopping. I couldn't fault the hotel. Location was amazing, price was fantastic, staff were lovely, and the hotel is charming and a hidden gem.

This is true new York and the best location, this is my third time and this is the best hotel, and I will be coming back!
