“Good hotel, great area to stay in, good bar and good breakfast service.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

Staff are friendly and helpful. When I had an issue with the room Air conditioning there was someone up inside 5 minutes, who fixed it. Breakfast was good but be aware if you have booked a breakfast included rate this is a Continental breakfast and you need to get a voucher from the front desk (I did get it sorted out later....but it was above a couple of people's pay grade to do that!). The bar is a good place to hang out. If you need reading glasses (like me) you might have a bit of difficulty reading anything there but at least the soft lighting makes you look good...I think. Washroom sink area is a little austere but functional. Rates were good for the quality of hotel. As others have said it is quite trendy but even I fitted in. Would happily stay again.

Room Tip: If you get a bit higher up some of the noise that can drift up from the bar and the street will be l...

Trendy and hip hotel with a location that is very hard to beat. The rooms were small, but typical for a boutique hotel in NYC, but very clean and comfortable with a cool layout. The bar and lobby areas are very cool and fun to hang out in. the staff was very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect. A short walk out of the hotel and your steps to Little Italy, Chinatown, shopping, and all of the Soho bar and restaurants.

We loved staying at this hotel. Location, rooms and not to mention the bar and small resturant were great. The lounge bar was great for unvinding after a days shopping, and the staff gave us great pointers on what to do and see in the area.

The Soho Grand is a great hotel. I dealt with the concierge staff before arriving and they were truly awesome, so helpful! The hotel itself has that warehouse feel and it seems you have to be one of the super cool to go there. Being a 50 year old Mum I did feel a little out of place! Our room was tiny and we did have to move to another room after the first night as our initial room was so noisy. In saying that, the staff were very obliging and understood our needs. The place needs a good refurbishing as everything looks a little old and tired. Never the less the staff were helpful and it is in a great location. Subway near by and great shopping.

Room Tip: A high room away from the noise

Dark hotel and trendy however the charming staff couldn't overcome the dark rooms. For some bizarre reason, the toilets in the room were tiny and low. My 6 yr old would have felt more at home than an adult. Great linens on an incredibly comfortable bed however made this quick business trip just fine.

Rooms- decor was great- very hip and trendy. And for a NYC hotel, the room size was actually pretty good. Very clean. Comfortable beds.

Service- great! Upon checking in they give you a cold lavender towel- very cool touch. The lobby is swanky (almost reminds me of The Nines in Portland).

I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get away from the grind of NYC. This hotel is tucked away in a great neighborhood and really makes you feel like you are away from the madness of NYC- midtown.

First trip to NYC. Stayed in corner room on 10th floor. Spacious. Great view. Super comfy bed. Greeted warmly by all the staff. Cool factor w guests including bands, models along w us regular folks! Take a walk to Ground Support for coffee and stroll up Spring Street. Be welcomed back by friendly doormen and front desk staff. Grateful to Soho Grand for special trip!
