“Trendy NYC Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 22, 2012

Rooms- decor was great- very hip and trendy. And for a NYC hotel, the room size was actually pretty good. Very clean. Comfortable beds.

Service- great! Upon checking in they give you a cold lavender towel- very cool touch. The lobby is swanky (almost reminds me of The Nines in Portland).

I would recommend this hotel for anyone looking to get away from the grind of NYC. This hotel is tucked away in a great neighborhood and really makes you feel like you are away from the madness of NYC- midtown.

First trip to NYC. Stayed in corner room on 10th floor. Spacious. Great view. Super comfy bed. Greeted warmly by all the staff. Cool factor w guests including bands, models along w us regular folks! Take a walk to Ground Support for coffee and stroll up Spring Street. Be welcomed back by friendly doormen and front desk staff. Grateful to Soho Grand for special trip!

Stylish hotel in a great location for Soho and Tribeca - expensive but cool, though be warned the local party crowd head in at the weekends which we liked - but if you're looking for rest and relaxation this might not be the best spot.

This hotel had immaculate and friendly staff, its right in the middle of Soho. The price was incredibly reasonable. I stayed in 3 hotels in NYC and this was by far the best. The staff helped with directions, bars to try, breakfast places to frequent and were genuinely just friendly. The rooms were bright clean and i just loved the lights! Recommend top anyone travelling to NYC, and try the T shop down the road. Fab!

Room Tip: Broadway side - great view watching what goes by!

Nice hotel for shopping at the nearby trendy area.

I was hired to do a photo shoot nearby and the client paid for this hotel for a week. This is the hotel for being seen and there's every trendy shop nearby you could think of, if that's what your into.

I arrived late and waded my way through smokers outside to the front door on the ground floor, which is not the lobby. Bellhop told me the desk was upstairs, didn't know there was an elevator. Concierge desk was closed so there was really nothing on the level where you walk in. Upstairs was the bar/restaurant and the front desk. Very nice staff at the front desk. Bar at night is super Soho trendy. Lunch was a bit more chill. Service was soso, some were real great servers others weren't.

My room was NYC small, no space to work on a computer, the table that was my desk was too small. Mini bar area took up a lot of room in the already small space. Closet to hide your bags and store clothes. Nice view towards Midtown in my room. Bathroom was great, big for NYC, lots of places to store toiletries.

Room was clean and the housekeeping was persistent. Any second I had my do not disturb sign off the door knob they were knocking on my door to clean.

Room service was good. They don't pick up trays in a timely manner and it was kinda gross to walk by all the trays sitting in the hallways.

No business center to speak of. Decent wifi. Nice tellie with a ton of channels for a hotel. Dry cleaning was done and delivered on schedule.

Mixed good and bad for the price. It's a nice hotel but it didn't blow me away.

Have stayed here several times for business. Have to say the rooms are not that comfortable and of course bc it is NYC rooms are mostly small, but to be expected.
Of course, the lobby area is very cool and the location is quite ideal! The staff is decent, not over helpful though.

Just recently stayed there - I had forgotten how awful it was. The room felt very dirty. Everything is old. Nothing but the bed and TV. Room service was terrible - ordered a salad - when it came I called because it wasn't the salad I ordered and they said "oh you ordered off the old menu" like it was my fault it was the only menu in the room. He said we can come get it back and give you your money back. Very weird. VERY pricey room service - very small salad (not even the right one) soda water, side of french fries = $42

Weird location - nothing really around it not convenient.

I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Needs to be redone.

Room Tip: No rooms are good. OLD.
