I stayed at the Soho Grand for 4 nights.

The rooms were spacious and VERY clean. The staff couldn't be more helpful. The were helpful and suggested places to visit or eat.. I also recommend the food. I had a great Lobster bisque!!


A great hotel with great staff.. I highly highly recommend it!

We made last minute plans to spend our long (President's Day) weekend. We shopped around for deals and finally decided to make reservations at the SoHo Grand. We loved the hotel and the courteous and professional staff, specially the reservation agent, Reena, made our 4 night stay so much special and memorable. We love the interior ambiance and finish, the rooms are excellent and so is the lounge, the bar, and the club-room which has a cozy fireplace. We couldn't have asked for a better location - top notch food/restaurants and shopping. We also found the best spa in NYC, PRATIMA's Spa (at the SoHo Building) with the ultimate body and facial treatments, NIRVANA!!
To summarize, the SoHo Grand is Manhattan's hidden secret. We are going back!

My wife and I flew over from Scotland a couple of years ago to New York and while we were there we got married in City Hall.
Immediately afterwards we went to the Soho Grand for cocktails to celebrate. We loved the look of the hotel and decided stay there last month when we visited New york again for a short vacation. (26 Feb for 4 nights)
I had read the odd Trip Adviser review saying that the staff were rude and more concerned with how they looked rather than looking after the guests.
Nothing could be further from the truth. From the second we checked in to the second we checked out our stay was an absolute pleasure. Every member of staff from the doormen to the check in staff, Bar staff etc were superb. Quite possibly the best and most consistent level of customer service I have experienced in any hotel. Period.
Our room (720) was delightful and was finished and decorated to a high standard.
The hotel is Uber cool and very "New York". Our booking included continental breakfast which was a pleasant suprise. We had this a few times in the lounge area which is stylish and relaxed. The hotel has a real urban classic chic feel to it.
I feel people are very quick to comment on a bad experience and less likely to put pen to paper when they have a positive experience. I hope this somewhat redresses the balance.
It's not the cheapest hotel in town but the quality and customer service makes it, in my opinion, excellent value for money. Cant wait to go back.
