If it wasn't so close to Times Square and other midtown attractions, I wouldn't recommend it. Rooms were small and felt cramped; bathroom was oddly dark. Seemed clean.

Staff was pretty good. Check-in was very quick and smooth. Valet parking was extremely slow, like 30+ minutes.

At almost $400/night, including parking and taxes, doesn't seem worth it. NYC hotels seemed a bargain two years ago, but have gone way up in price. NY Hilton has nicer rooms, although a few blocks further from Times Square.

This is a busy corporate style hotel situated about 10 minutes walk north of Time Square and 10 minutes south of Central Park.
Check in was quick and efficient for a friday afternoon and my request for a quiet room lead me to a room on the 32nd floor.. The room was an average size New York, which are small by US standards. The bathroon is small but functional The room was clean and the bed was very comfy. Being on a high floor the noise from the street was hardly noticed which made a good and uninterupted nights sleep easy - that is not possible in many Hotels in The City that Never Sleeps! All in all a nice place to say and a great base from which to explore the many and varied sights the city has to offer

Very friendly , courteous staff, housekeeping staff went above and beyond to accomodate requests. Rooms small, but clean. Only issue was the elevators being kind of slow, however my 2 daughters and myself were there 6 days for a big dance competition, and there were other events going on as well. I would stay here again.

On our last trip to New York city we stayed at the Waldorf Astoria. The hotel was beautiful, rooms large, but the location was a long ways from Times Square and Central Park. We might have stayed there again just to be safe but the cost went up to close to $500 per night after taxes. That was out of our budget. After reading many reviews online we decided to try the Sheretan New York Hotel and Towers. What a good choice! The location is about 2 short blocks from Times Square. Perfect. You wouldn't want to be in Times Square. Way to busy. But to see it from the front door of your hotel is the way to go. "Maison" french restaurant across the street is too good to describe in words. Open air dining with ambiance galore and food that makes me salivate just thinking about it. I like healthy food and there is an organic food market very close to the hotel. Delis nearby made me custom salads every day with organic avocados and fruit from the market. David Letterman Show (FREE tickets to show M-F) one block away. Broadway Theatre with "The Color Purple" starring Fantasia one block away. Many theatres within 2-3 short blocks. Subway to Penn station less than one block. GORGEOUS lobby, fast elevators and friendly staff. What more can I say? The rooms were clean as a whistle, the gym stocked with (I counted) 16 brand new Life Fitness machines plus free weights. Best gym I've ever seen in a Hotel. Business center FED Ex'd and custom wrapped a piece of art I purchased. Would I stay at the Shereton again? You betcha!! Hint: Come to NYC via Newark airport. Take the Airtrain to the New Jersey Transit (FREE) then take the New Jersey Transit to Penn Station ($15). It's relaxing and takes less than 30 minutes. (Cab is at least $60 and an hour and a half commute to the city near rush hour). I've done both and the train is the way to go. From Penn Station take the uptown subway to the hotel. Ask an attendant or anyone nearby (most are very helpful with travelers) which train and stop to get off at. Have fun!

First of all I want to say that I’ve stayed in several Sheraton chain hotels around the world as well as booking many 4-5 star hotels on hotwire/Priceline and this turn out to be the most disappointing hotel booking.

Last time I booked a hotel in NYC on Priceline I paid $120/night and got the Hilton next door which was excellent (considering I was upgraded to a club level room)
This time, for some reason, the prices in NYC where extremely high and the best deal I got was $250/night on hotwire.com.
My flight arrived at 8 a.m on a Saturday and I headed straight to the hotel. Once at the hotel I was informed that they are completely booked and can’t check me in until the rooms become available. I returned at 2 pm and was checked in and given a room on the 38th floor. The floor was apparently designated for Starwood Preferred guests (or at least that’s what the sign said).

The room was very disappointing: Dusty blinds!!!! Just like on one of the candid photos on the earlier reviews, small bathroom with really lousy plumbing system, old low quality TV, no mini bar and overall old rooms…..

I didn’t need any special service so I can’t comment about that, however I excepted to at least get a renovated room with a 4 star quality and the appropriate amenities…I will Definitely look to stay elsewhere on my next trip unless I get another Price line/Hotwire purchase.
