On arrival of our 16 night stay whilst we worked at New York Fashion Week, the staff were warm and welcoming and we were shown to our suite by a manager, Keith, who had kindly upgraded us to a suite for our long stay. During our time at The Manhattan the staff were welcoming and almost instantly we were on a first name basis. The chamber maids were EXCELLENT! They came in every day without fail and helped us keep our busy time in New York organised which we are really grateful for. Jacques and Gene, the doormen, were spectacular, even in the snow storms! This hotel and the staff are a credit to Manhattan Island!

it is a hotel that needs work especially the halls the furniture is not in the best condition
however the location is great. It is near everything on the central west side
the beds are comfortable which is important to me

Room Tip: the room was okay the elevators run quickly so not much wait in a busy hotel

I have just returned from here with a group of students and the hotel offered our group everything we required.
We arrived late and our keys were ready and concierge arranged a room for the group to have some refreshments and ordered the pizza for us.
The rooms are clean and tidy but some may need a little refurbishment however for a city break they are ideal.
The hotel is situated on Times Square so is a perfect location for getting around nd also for Broadway.
There are plenty of diners close by too offering everything - I would use this hotel again

The rooms are spacious, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect for theater going, museum visiting and just about everything and anything you want to do.

The only drawback is that there was no gift shop or bar. In nicer weather this would not be an issue, but it would have been nice to be able to go to the lobby to get a snack or a late evening drink.

We have just returned from a 4 day stay at this hotel and I can not fault the hotel, location or the staff. It was a special anniversary and i had been in email contact with Tim Olohan who said that we would be looked after when we arrived. He was not joking..when we got there the staff were attentive, we had a lovely room which was huge and double aspect overlooking Broadway..the bed was like a cloud..so comfy!! Throughout our stay nothing was too much trouble for the staff and there was always service with a smile. The hotel is not expensive (we paid £350 for 4 nights) but we felt like kings. this was our 4th trip to the Big Apple and we would definately stay here again ..it was the best service we have experienced...anywhere. Thank you to Tim...he was polite, professional and very helpful and had great people skills...as did all the staff.....We loved The Manhattan at Times Square.

First off! what a fantastic location!! right next to times squre and Broadway! we also walked to Empire state Building! The Resturant and Gift shop is closed but that really doesnt matter as there are so many resturants and delis everywhere! and hundereds of gift shops too many to choose from!! The pool is also closed but this really didnt bother the gym was still open! but you do so much walking I personally didnt have the time or the energy for the gym! The rooms are basic But clean! try requesting a high floor we was on the 19th floor and street noise really wasnt an issue for us! we was there 4 nights and the room was cleaned twice both times toped up with towels and and Tea,Coffee etc.Very helpfuly front of desk staff and concierge. Bottom line is if you want that location but dont want to pay through the nose then this is the hotel for you! I would 100% stay again! Ignore bad reviews!!! Also make sure you check out Ellens Start Dust Diner! good food and singing wait staff!

Room Tip: Choose a high floor room 15+ to avoid street noise
