“Great hotel, and an even better location.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

My boyfriend and I have just returned from this hotel and we would go back in a heart beat. The staff are very helpful and nothing is too much trouble. our room was very spacious, clean and the bed was one of the comfiest we've ever slept in. Couldn't ask for a better location right on Times Square and broadway, and just a short five minute walk to Central Park. I would like to stress the importance of ignoring negative comments about the rooms, as you don't go to New York to stay in your room. On the whole we had a great stay at this hotel and would recommend it to anyone.

Room Tip: Don't listen to negative reviews!!!

Had a very pleasant stay for Valentines Day. Hotel was very clean and the room was nice and spacious. We had 2 Queen beds, which were more like the size of full size beds but comfortable and clean. Bath was small but clean, good shower. AC was off and we had to open the window because the room got a little stuffy but overall had a very comfortable stay.

Staff was extremely pleasant and bent over backwards to accommodate us. We did not have any negative experiences at all.

The lobby was crowded with people using the free internet, as the cost per room is $15/day. This is only complaint I had. Many hotels now are including in-room internet as part of the accommodation.

Room Tip: Our room was on the 22nd floor. no noise whatsoever, except for the street noise when we had to open...

This hotel is in an ideal location 5 mins walk to the centre of Times Square and 10 mins walk to Central Park. The hotel is basic but - the beds were really comfy, and as a family of 4 we coped fine with the size of the room. The decor could do with an update, particularly in the corridors - but we were here to see New York sights not the hotel room.....loads of places to eat really close by. Our room was on the 16th floor and we commented that we never had to wait for the lifts ( a problem I've experienced in many hotels)
We didn't need to talk to staff very much but any we came across were really helpful, particularly in helping me find locations for some shops I was looking for.
I don't normally post reviews but before our holiday I was worrying about the hotel based on some of the comments posted on here - but apart from the decor needing updating it really did meet our needs, the location was fab.

Excellent value for money, superb location, ok the rooms are a bit old hat but would have no issue staying there again or recommending it to anyone looking for affordable accommodation. Staff helpful and courteous.

This hotel was a real surprise. The service was second to no other, the value was amazing, and the location was unbeatable. From Check-in to check out the experience was wonderful. My only regret was that I do not remember the names of all the individuals who delivered such first-rate service. At check-out, I made sure to get Guillermo Chavez's name. When I told him how great my stay was, he was so thankful and full of pride for his hotel, I felt I had to share my thoughts in a review.

Okay, NYC is expensive but if this is a mid-range hotel I'll save a little longer for a better place! From the moment you enter you see countless people lounging around the lobby on the floor! as there are few seats available. All these displaced persons are taking advantage of the free Wi-Fi otherwise costing $15 pd in your room. Good luck finding an outlet!
The ridiculously slow elevators take you through a myriad of banging doors and noise from rooms (the walls seem paper thin). While the beds are comfortable be prepared to wake throughout the night whenever anyone walks by, uses the elevator or opens/closes a door!
The location is spot on so maybe these people think they can skimp on service and quality as recompense?
I would never stay here again and would never reccommend it!

Room Tip: I have no idea if there are quiter rooms!
