“Last minute saviour”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2014

We were badly let down on accommodation in New York and had to book in here last minute on a Saturday night with 4 adults and a baby. They could not have been more understanding and helpful. The room was comfortable, clean and reasonably quiet considering the brilliant location. They made it possible for us to have one room at 9.30am so we could store all our bags and head off to enjoy the day. We all had a great sleep and woke refreshed. Thank you.

Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and positive comments. I am delighted that we were able to accommodate you at what started out to be an unpleasant arrival in New York. Your kind words and appreciation for the services we provided means a great deal to the entire staff here at The Lexington. I am pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us and that we were able make this a memorable holiday in NYC. We look forward to welcoming you again.

Just checked in to my small and dull room on the elite floor of the Lexington. Safe does not work, walls are scuffed and dull, and all with the fabulous Construction/air conditioner view -- no bathrobe, no room service or hotel information available in room, tiny bathroom -- would not recommend at this price as it is very basic and not as nice as Kimptons and other boutiques. Positives include -- the location, and staff was friendly at check in.

I will start by saying that I typically stay at Marriott's and in the past, while visiting NYC, I had stayed at the Marriott East Side. I wanted to try out the Autograph Lexington property, so decided to stay here. Overall, we had a good stay at the Lexington. The location is great- right next to the Marriott East side, on Lex and 48th. Its an easy walk to most areas in mid-town, Times Square and Central Park.

We had a room facing the rear of the building, so there was virtually no street noise, there was however some large fans (that others have written about), which were relatively loud, but I would rather have that than honking horns and firetrucks going by. Some of the rooms are small, but ours was a decent size with a king bed. The bathrooms are very small. Given this is NYC, I wasn't expecting a ton of space.

The hotel lobby is well laid out, has ample seating areas (which can not be said for the Marriott next door), and there is a Starbucks conveniently located in the building. I found the hotel to be updated, with everything in decent working order.

The staff was very friendly and the price of the room was reasonable given the location and condition of the hotel. I would return to the Lexington on another stay.

Room Tip: would recommend a high floor (not near the large fans), facing the rear of the building, if looking...

Room was gorgeous, location was spectacular, bed was comfortable and staff was very friendly. The details put into the room were phenomenal. It felt like home. Irene Borukhov greeted us as we checked in and made sure we had a nice stay, thank you very much. She is the best! I will definitely stay here again. Prices are reasonable, very clean and close to tons of attractions and the subway.

Excellent location for Times Square, Grand Central Station, Rockefellar Centre etc. We stayed in a Queens Room and the room was clean, of a decent size for New York and the noise from the streets was fine as we were on the 21st floor.

Staff were helpful and friendly. Free wifi in the lobby but if you want to use it in your room then you need to pay for it. We simply just used it in the lobby and in Raffles Bistro which is adjoined to the hotel. We had breakfast a couple of mornings in Raffles which was very nice but not the cheapest.

Most food and drink in New York is not that cheap so be prepared. I'm sure there are cheaper places out there, we just never had the time to find any.

I would recommend this hotel for a Midtown stay in Manhattan.

Room Tip: Common sense I guess but the higher the floor the less street traffic you will hear.

The Lexington is a vintage hotel with many modern touches. An ample flat screen TV adorns the wall opposite the bed and a cool mirror with built in lighting greets you in the bathroom. The hotel entrance is spacious and welcoming. The room was rather small but clean and well kept. The location is near subways, restaurants, and bars. The hotel boasts having such guests as Marilyn Monroe and Joe DiMaggio for extended stays back in the day.
