My girlfriend and I stay in the hotel mid September for four nights, which unfortunately fell during fashion week in NYC.
One of these nights, Without any warning there was a fashion after party/event in in our hotel and we were not allowed to use the bar, our hotel was filled with the most rude and demanding people I have ever came across and a lot of the staff seemed to make them a priority over the residents of the hotel. We almost didn't feel welcome in our own hotel so quickly departed.
This was the main negative of our stay and thankfully was only one of our nights. Our other small issue was with a couple of the security guards/doormen, as some of them seem to lack in any form of customer service. One of them demanded to see our ID's before he let us use the lift to our rooms, another told us we should "go wait in our rooms" as the fashion event guests would be using the lobby. Not exactly the way we expected to be spoken to off of our hotel staff.
However, as I said in the title the hotel has the potential to be perfect, as if it were not for the above issues it would have been.
The location is perfect, literally 1minute walk from Time Square, however isn't affected by the noise/busyness of it all.
Special thanks to all the reception staff and concierge, in particular Joe and Jacob, who are always on hand to help and make suggestions.
The rooftop bar is amazing, great atmosphere and setting. Perfect place to end a busy day before bed!
Yes as some have stated the rooms are a bit small, but who cares! Your in NYC!!! one of the greatest cities in the world!!! If your spending too much time in your room, your doing it wrong!!! The bed was comfy, the shower was great, wifi is free! So that's good enough for me :)
Personally, I didn't think the breakfast was great, not a great deal on offer! But adequate to start your day and plan ahead!
Would have been 5/5 had it not been for the couple of negatives, would/will definitely return!!!
