“Best location and services in Manhattan”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

It is an excellent hotel in Manhattan.
Nice rooms, excellent location (7th avenue at 2 blocks from Central Park), kind front office persons.
All facilities and rooms were recently renewed.
I definitely recommend it.

This hotel has nice rooms and a very good location. The service in the reception was very bad. The lifts take forever to get up to the floor you are on. There is no coffee machine in room, no machine to buy drinks in the hallway, so you need to go downstairs to get anything. There is no roomservice either.
They charge you a facility fee of 21 USD per night. This is probably for the "free internet".
All in all not worth paying 400 USD for pr night as I had to do.

This hotel has nice rooms. The location is good. There it ends. Reception staff was totally not up to standard. A total mess with 20 people waiting in the reception area and one person working there.
Another time I came down there was noone there in line but I was still asked to go between the ropes and wait. Two seconds later I was called to the counter.,
The lift takes forever to come. Expect waiting 5 minutes for a lift. There is no coffee in room, so to get a Nespresso you have to go to a small shop in reception and buy it.
I had a prepaid room but they charge a facility charge of 21USD for internet and stuff even if you dont use it. This you wont know about before you leave.

Room Tip: Go to another hotel as service is bad.

Besides cleanliness, what I really consider important is the location. That's why I usually stay at the Park Central. I've stayed there more than six times and I intend to stay there again the next time I go to New York.

This newly renovated hotel was a real find. It is across from Carnegie Hall, near the theater district, 2 blocks from Central Park and close to Lincoln Center. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The Bar/Lounge area is great.

The hotel is centrally located to Central Park, Time Square and all the important shopping areas in the city thus is very good for people who enjoys walking around like me. The room is very comfortable and clean. The only thing which annoyed me was there are many hidden charges which are not known until the time you check out, like this USD 20 per day/person service fee for services which I never used during my stay. The other issue is all those taxes; city, state and other what not taxes which can add up quite a bit to the total hotel bill. Making international call can be extremly expensive. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the bill. It costs more than USD 50 to USD 70 for a 2 or 3 minute call at the most. Better ask the receptionist where one can buy a call card from the news stand. Otherwise, had a very pleasant stay at the hotel. The staff are very friendly and helpful when you need something from them.

I would highly recommend Park Central to any traveler. The staff was extremely personal and helpful in every way possible. The location is close to lots of major attractions and the food was top shelf.
