“Good Value apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2013

If you want a large apartment rather than a hotel in a good location at a reasonable price this is a place you should consider. The staff were excellent and could not do enough for me. The rooms were very large and comfortable although they are looking dated. That being said the bed was excellent which is always an important factor.

Room Tip: Go higher floors if you can to deaden the noise as it is central New York :)

This hotel is located on a nice quiet side street. It is a 10 minute walk to Grand Central Station and within a block walking distance there is a small market, diners, corner deli, small places to eat. We had a one bedroom suite with kitchen which allowed us to eat in AND have our two teenagers in a separate room. It also had a laundry room. This was one of the largest AND economical places we looked at for our stay.
The room furnishings are dated and the mattress on the sofa bed a bit lumpy but having a separate room for the kids to hang out in was worth it.

A friend of mine and I spent a couple of nights here during our first trip to the US. I had read good things about the hotel online, which was one of the reasons I booked a room here. We were not disappointed! The price was ok and the location is great. It's only a couple of minutes away from Grand Central Terminal and if you are fit, you can walk to several other destinations in NY. If you don't feel like walking, you can get pretty much anywhere using the subway station at the GCT.

When we arrived, we got a room with a large queensize bed, which was not ideal. However, we got upgraded to a room with separate beds the day after we requested it. The staff was very friendly whenever we had any questions. The rooms are big, by the way.

The only minor disturbances were the noise from the street (if you get a room facing the street...) and the fact that they charge you for Wifi use in your room. If you want to use the free Wifi, you have to sit in the lobby.

This hotel was in a great location of the Murray Hill area of mid-town Manhattan. It is close to Grand Central Station and within walking distance to the Empire State Building. Nice, spacious suites along with a kitchenette. Our suite had a double bed and a queen sleeper sofa. Even though it is located in NYC, it was quiet at night. The beds and linens were very comfortable and we had a super experience here. There were 2 tvs and that was a nice plus as well. There is a grocery store on the next block as well as a Walgreens about 2 blocks away. Would definitely stay here again!

I stayed here for about 3 nights, and I did enjoy it, but the rooms seemed rather old and run-down. However, it was still a nice place, and the kitchenette was pretty handy to have. It was not at all posh or extravagant but it was a good deal and comfortable.

Very handy to most mid Manhattan places & subway system. Hotel was presented well (although a little dated) but very comfortable. Only had one (out of 2) elevator working when we were there which was a bit annoying having to wait.Room was fine , having a kitchenette was also handy.
Recommend you get a room not facing the street due to noise from below.
