“Great Hotel in a Great Location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

Really enjoyed staying here recently for work. Rooms were spacious and well laid out. The hotel is very close to Central Park and in the middle of everything that you may need. Two really great restaurants in the lobby for burgers and brunch. Overall a pleasant stay.

My husband and I stayed here on SPG points in May. I had heard good things about the hotel and decided to stay here for a night. It was a typical Manhattan experience, the woman that checked us in was very friendly, but we didn't have any contact with staff after that. We went to see a show and had dinner at The Palm West. Not much time in our 1 day stay to interact. We were on the town most of the time. The room was clean, nice. We would go back again, but weren't overwhelmed. The hotel bar/lobby is very cool! I would have given the hotel an average rating if not for this amazing little spot.

the Parker Meridien is a very easy hotel to stay in. it is well-located in Midtown. It has a modern feel, is clean and well-done, and has a wonderful little bar! When they didn't have the room we reserved, they upgraded us...The fitness center is beautiful (was recently redone).

Dear robinsc2013,

Thanks for the great review. I'm glad you like our style- we think you're pretty neat too! Knave, our espresso and cocktail bar, definitely is a great low-key place to enjoy expertly crafted drinks. Next time you're here, be sure to try my favorite - the Caffe Affogato. It's a scoop of vanilla ice cream topped with velvety espresso or rich chocolate ganache. It's to die for!

Have a Good One!

The hotel located near central park is a classy establishment with a white/cream coloured marble lobby with mirrors and a small stylish barbers just opposite the lifts. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, including the bar staff. The lifts were very slow but the cartoon displayed up top within was a refreshing change from the usual boring jazz band. The lift waiting areas on our floor had a view to Central Park which was nice. Although relatively central (near the Russian Tea Room) we found it still a fair walk from the main Broadway 'hub' we visited every day. The pool on the roof has amazing views although it is fairly small but nice for relaxing nevertheless. The bedroom was quite spacious with a desk area although still felt a bit 'basic' for its star rating. The curtain that acted as a wardrobe door was a bit odd too compared to the rest of the design in the room. (Read the laundry document, it will make you laugh as it did us - at least they have a sense of humour!). Overall a very pleasant stay.

The rooms are not as nice as you might expect once you' ve entered the lobby. The location is good. The gym is very well equipped. The most negative points: very long waitingtime for the elevator, bad WiFi ( not free! ) and expensive parking ( 52 dollars per day, maybe normal in NYC). We did not visit the restaurant, so no opinion about the food,

Dear Fred200258,

Thanks for your review. I'm sorry to hear that you didn't find your room as impressive as our lobby. Unlimited wi-fi usage is included in our $10 per day facility fee which also grants guests access to our roof-top pool and our award-winning fitness center, gravity. The onsite garage is a separate entity from the hotel and sets its own pricing; its rates are on par with most garages in Manhattan.

We hope that you'll give us another shot! If you do, please drop me a line before you arrive so I can personally assign your room.

Have a Good One!

We stayed for 2 weeks at the 41th floor, It was a dream come true!
The most important thing in Le Parker Meridien is the people that comes always with a smile.
It's a great hotet, the location its amazing. Dreamy beds, big luxurious lobby and bar. Great service in each department and THE BEST BURGER IN TOWN "The burger Joint".
We are planning our next trip and its gonna be in the Meridien.

This hotel needs TLC - total loving care. The rooms are large enough but the bathrooms are minute. We had a Tower Park view room on the 27th floor. The extra cost isn't worth it. Particularly as the lifts/ elevators were the slowest I have ever experienced. The location is good but in one of the world's most expensive cities you can do much better with your dollars.
