“The view was amazing!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2014

We came into town on the same night the President had his date night. After wheeling our suitcases down the side walk we were happy to make it to check in. You know that nervous feeling when they can't find you. She asked if I had my expedia confirmation number and I did. Then she was able to find our room. We got to our room on the 20th floor and our door would not open. We saw a staff member who let us in but told us we would have to go back down to get a working key. We saw the view from our window and decided the view made up for everything and anything. We went back down to check in and they informed us they had changed the door key system without letting the front desk know. The next key worked. We decided to call for room service and this was a GREAT idea. It was fast, hot and wonderful. My mom had a lobster roll that was amazing. It came with some little pastries for dessert that were also wonderful. My husband had salmon that was his favorite of the trip and I had a waffle with chicken. I had always seen that on TV and it is better in person. The concierge was very helpful in getting us boat and bus tickets. She also recommended a sea food restaurant. She gave us a map and we were able to find all of our scheduled events. We only had two issues. We couldn't get any one to understand that we wanted regular coffee to prepare in our room. They would leave many decaff but no regular. We also asked for more bar soap but never received any. The water pressure in the shower was low and it was hard to adjust the temperature. They delivered us one extra body wash and we made do. I would go back for the room service and the view.

Room Tip: We had a corner room. The view was amazing.

Stayed a week here in to celebrate my husbands 40th birthday. Nice hotel, excellent location..everything on your doorstep. Rooms cleaned daily with fresh towels if needed. Coffee shop only open until 10.30am - could do with being all day really. Never ate in the restaurant but used the bar each evening. Staff always courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend this hotel. Wi-fi only available in the lobby though not throughout.

This hotel is very central..... Especially since we were traveling with 2 children. The room was spacious and clean. There is a fantastic little Italian resturant just outside the entrance of the hotel. It is also very close to the underground which we used with our children.

Hotel is located on Broadway a block away from Times Square and very handy for the subway. Less than 10 minutes walk from Rockefeller Center and 5th Ave, about 15 mins walk from Central Park and of course, it's right in the Theatre District. We came in from JFK via AirTrain and subway line E to 53rd St and then walked to the hotel with our luggage. In total it took about an hour for $7.50 each.
Front desk, bar staff and concierge all really friendly and helpful - and a useful source of information for us first timers to NYC. Good lobby bar service. Very much a tourist hotel.
Room was clean and adequate - a bit smaller than I'm used to in the USA, but I guess that's because it's NY - good A/C, with 2 double beds, so can sleep 4 at a push. We only really needed it to sleep in, so were not bothered about it's size. Decor getting a bit tired, big TV. We were on a high floor so good to see the lifts were swift and waiting times very short even in busiest times.
Breakfast options in hotel are the proper restaurant ($32/head) or the cafe type area where you can pick up coffee and buns at more reasonable money but we headed for a different local deli each day for more choice and value.
Overall we were very happy with this hotel.

All I can say is VICKY MARTIN! Our stay quickly went from not so great to incredible because her awesome customer service. We can not thank the hotel enough for her as a member of their staff. More people like her are needed in the service industry.

This hotel is a step above a few of the other chain hotels where we've stayed in the midtown area. The room was spacious, ours had a nice view, and everything felt clean and safe. The door locks were being upgraded while we were there, and a hotel employee stood by the whole morning to explain what was going on and to make sure the disturbance was minimal. The front desk woman was wonderful and made us feel so welcome and excited about our stay, even though we've been in NY many times. The gym was great and very easy to access. We were only here one night, or I would have asked about the heating/cooling system. I got back late from a show while others in the room were sleeping and I could not get the thermostat to work...the room was a little too warm all night and would not cool off no matter how I tried to lower the temperature. Aside from that, we had a great stay...this hotel is in the heart of Manhattan, with everything in easy reach.

A fantastic 4 Night stay, check in was fast and hassle free, room was large very clean, bed very comfortable, we used room service twice fantastic could not have asked for more, the staff were all helpful especially the men in the downstairs lobby who arranged transport for us to get to the heliport.
Our stay in New York was wonderful cannot wait to return, I would book the Crowne Plaza again why change something that was so good and central.

Room Tip: We requested room overlooking Times Square with King Size Bed we got exactly what we requested, no p...
