“Great small hotel in NYC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2011

I have stayed at the Iroquois twice in the past few months. It's a quaint hotel right off 5th. The rooms are small but so are all hotel rooms in NYC. The front desk staff was very nice. There is a cute diner for breakfast if you walk out the door of the hotel, make a right, it's right on their corner. Both rooms I stayed in were clean. They have a nice sitting area in the lobby if you need to meet people, get a boarding pass, or just kill some time. I like this hotel and will be back again soon!

We stayed for 5 nights, beautiful little rooms, friendly staff, and a great location. $10 dollar taxis (4 people the price of the subway) takes you to the Village, Central Park, a little farther to Wall St. Walk to Time Sq. and the Theatres in 10 minutes. Have Breakfast at the Red Flame just West toward 6th. Ave. Don't let the doorman talk you into a $25 to $35 fixed price Black Cab when the metered Yellow Cabs will go there for $10. Tour with the Blue Line Hop on Hop off Bus. $54 gets you 4 tours over 48 hours: Uppper Manhattan, Lower Manhattan, Night tour, and the boat cruise, all for one price. We 2 couples would definitely go back.

Thank you for sharing your experience. I am very pleased to know you enjoyed our centralized location and took advantage of all the transportation options (Bus tour, taxi, subway, car service, etc) we help provide. Yellow cabs are a great option, but guests also must factor in the metered fare which can vary substantially depending on time and traffic. We try to provide many options for our guests so they can decide which will accomodate their needs best. We hope to welcome you back again! -Caroline Lakin

Wow, what a pleasant surprise! My spouse and I stayed at the Iroquois for two nights joining another couple who were also staying there. We were grumpy when we arrived as the airline had lost one of our bags but our indisposition soon melted away at the warm reception we received upon checking in and upon entering the lovely plush and comfortable room we were assigned. The bathroom was spotless and elegantly furnished with great toiletries and towels. The comfort of the beds, the quality of the linens and the quietness of the air conditioning were outstanding. Complimentary high speed internet, water and and a turndown service with chocolates were included in the room rate which puts to shame it's next door and now gone to seed neighbour, the outrageously over-priced Sofitel where I had recently stayed. The staff could not have been more helpful, kinder and efficient especially when our suitcase turned up and was brought up to our room. I hope they don't change a thing (including the room rates!) as I will happily make this my New York pied-a terre from now on.

A magical hotel, with great location

We spent 10 days at this magical hotel, and loved it!
I could go on and on about the service, location, and the hotel it self…
But ill just make it easy, and say it was a perfect accommodation.

We had a Executive King room, and it was absolutely lovely. Very clean (but then you get turndown service 2 times a day ;-) )

We will for sure live here next time in NYC!

My Father and I stayed at The Iroquois for 4 nights in July over the 4th of July Holiday. Even before we arrived I had e-mailed the hotel for assistance in trying to locate a 4th of July cruise. Vanessa, the concierge, contacted me and provided several suggestions - one of which we took. She also provided us with a discount code for Cirque du Solei tickets at radio city. I cannot say enough about Vanessa. She was extremely responsive even before we arrive as well as while we were there. With regard to the hotel, it is beautiful and very clean. The location is great too! A couple of blocks to Times Square and about 4 or 5 to radio city. The subway is about 2 blocks away. I have been to New York many times, and this is truly the best hotel (service and location) that I have stayed at. I am looking forward to staying there again.

Our beautiful night here:

Take the beautiful limestone facade in and walk through the mahogany doors to the elegant but minimalist lobby. Rooms have everything you need but nothing you don't. Beautiful pale colors are very comforting. Nice linens, slippers, and amazing Belgian chocolates for turndown. The library is a must see I am sorry we neither had breakfast or dinner here but I am certain it is excellent. Walk to all theaters and 5th ave shopping. Considering the quality and service, the mid $400 rates are a steal.

Just got back from a three day weekend at the Iroquois. We visit NYC every few years and this time we went to celebrate our 33rd anniversary. We had a great stay. Room was ready early, clean, and the hotel location was excellent.
