“Christmas in NYC”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

My boyfriend and I visited NYC for 6 days during this year's holiday season. We chose Hotel Belleclaire and we were not disappointed! The upper west side is home to many great spots. This hotel is 2 blocks from the subway which was very helpful since it was quite chili out. The hotel was very small but we did expect that. The room was clean and up to date. Hotel Belleclaire's lobby was great, they had complimentary coffee, tea, and cocoa out during the evenings. It was about 45-1hour cab ride from LGA. We chose to use uber and got the rides for about $60. I would stay here over and over and most certainly recommend it to friends. The only frustration was the amount we paid for the hotel it ended up being around $260 a night when other times of the years it's about $100. But business is business.

Really good location, subway is 3 minutes. Friendly and helpful staff. The rooms are a bit small. Central park is a few blocks, about 10 minutes away. A coffee maker would be areally good idea in the room.

Outstanding location, convenient to everything. clean and nice. fold out bed in suite is very poor. you hear a lot of street noise through the old windows.
Perfect location if you are visiting the central park area..

Everything was perfect. From location to comfort, we loved this hotel. We will stay here again. Subway stops were very convenient. It's blocks from Central Park. We booked using the cyber Monday deal.

We stayed here 3 nights: returning to this part of the west side after a long weekend in April. We chose the hotel because I got an unbelievable special they had advertised on their website. We had a queen room on the first floor. No view, but for the price, so what. The hotel is recently renovated so the room was lovely (small, but again, so what -- when you're in NYC you're not there to stay in your room). We had a free NY Times every morning, free WI-FI (they have 2 levels of WIFI -- the free one was enough for our needs) and they get high marks for the very, very comfortable bed. We slept well. Hotel is close to Broadway -- easy access to subway, walking distance to the AMNH, Central Park, restaurants, and more.

It was the Marathon weekend, combined with Halloween. Tons of ambiance. The hotel was nicely decorated for the holiday, Batman's car parked in font of the hotel, energy bars and snack sack-packs on the counter for everyone to enjoy..
Coming back to the hotel was just as fun as going out of it to tour the city.

I can warmly recommend this hotel. My wife and I recently spent one night here on a quick visit to NYC, and we had a great stay. When we arrived, we were able to upgrade our room for a small fee from a standard one to one with a queen bed and a lovely view of the Hudson. I especially want to acknowledge Shanies at the front desk; she was welcoming and helpful on both our arrival and departure. Our room was clean and well appointed. We liked the hardwood floors rather than the usual carpet. The bathroom was of a good size, and the shower was great. Our only complaint: the room was quite warm, although, as far as we could tell, the radiator wasn't on. We opened the bathroom window, which helped, but we still woke up during the night feeling overheated with only a sheet covering us. One recommendation for a quick breakfast: Mille-feuille at 2175 Broadway, just around the corner from the hotel. Excellent croissants and coffee. We enjoyed our quick stay at the Hotel Belleclaire and we hope to return soon.

Room Tip: Higher rooms (floors 7-10) on the west side of the building can have a good view of the Hudson. We...
