We have stayed in New York on several occasions and this time decided to take the youngest with us so a suite would be perfect. We chose the Doubletree mainly for location as you are straight in to the thick of things and we were only there for 5 nights. On arrival our room was "not quite ready" (we checked in mid afternoon so not too early) so thought may as well wait as we wanted to get freshened up, an hour and a half later and several trips to reception we finally got our key. We had paid for a Premium Suite on the 27th floor, the view was excellent but the room itself was dated but clean and had everything required. All in all for location it is excellent but the overall experience it is just OK, we will be back to the Sofitel next time.
