Big spacious rooms and lobby. They have everything you would need. More than enough for the typical traveler that would spend most of the time outside the hotel anyway. Close to the Subway, Times Square and Central Park. Restaurant serves enough food for a heavy breakfast to start the day. You can leave your luggage at the lobby for a fee.

We checked in late at night due to a delayed flight. We were greeted at the hotel entrance with a few drunk people and disagreeing staff. Finally we were given the room keys. Got all the way up there to find the door didn't lock properly. Staff offered to send someone up but it was already midnight so we asked for another room. We were told there wasn't one suitable but they could give us a different room with a pull out. We went back to the front desk and all of a sudden there was a room for us. The room was suitable. No safe in this room for some reason. The hotel didn't seem overly safe. It was quite worn in the halls and elevators. If I am in NYC again, I wouldn't stay here.

Excellent hotel close to everything you need. My return was delayed by weather and they were very efficient letting me keep same room for extra 2 days with no fuss at all.
Altogether was there for a week and can't fault it. Clean comfortable friendly staff gold restaurant and bar. Safe and accessible area at all times

The hotel was pretty average but we only really used it to get changed and sleep! We didn't have curtains in our room until the second night. The location however, was perfect. I don't think your hotel needs to be that great because that's not what New York is about. The city itself is incredible 4 months gone now and I still wish I was still there. I would recommend doing the guided tour for 9/11 and Night on the town in NYC as we learnt so much about the city. But I would definitely recommend this city to anyone.

Checked in and for a pre-cruise stay and got room on second floor. Lock on accessable window was broken. Went to front desk and Minire the clerk apologized and upgraded us to king bed immediatly. Upgrade was nice but the way the issue was handled meant more to us. Great staff.

We stayed three nights with our two teenage daughters and a one year old baby during the winter.

The top two assets of this hotel are its location (very close to Central Park and a nice walk to Times Square) and its price, way below the average of other similar hotels and/or airbnb properties.

It is also 5 minutes away from a Whole Foods (Columbus Circle) making it very convenient when traveling with kids if you want to avoid spending lots of money or eating junk food.

The rooms are big and quiet for NYC standards. The block is mainly residential, which is also nice (no trucks delivering goods at 6 am).

Common areas are kind of old. You also need to pay separately for a mini refrigerator (10 dollars a night), and the "lounge" is not the most modern or cool place, but you can find cool places all over the city.

I definitively recommend this hotel when traveling with your family.
