Description: SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY is an authentic Memphis-Style BBQ restaurant and bar. We boast some of the finest southern food found this side of the Mason Dixon Line. We feature traditional specialties including Dry Rubbed BBQ Ribs, Sweet and Sticky Baby Back Ribs, Crispy Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Pickles, and Mac & Cheese that you'll never forget. Our Southern fare is complimented by juicy corn fed Steaks, grilled jumbo Gulf Shrimp with Rosemary Grits, and lighter fare like our Watercress and Praline Salad, and Grilled Salmon with Black Eyed Peas. In addition to our fine cuisine, we offer a full line of draft beers, an extensive list of sipping tequilas, and over 50 of the Country's finest Bourbons. World renown wine expert, Gary Vaynerchuk, has hand selected an eclectic wine list that pairs beautifully with our diverse menu.

“Amazing brisket”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2014

We liked it, we loved it. On a recent girls trip five of us spent 5 nights in New York. At the end of the trip we voted for our best food out of 10 meals. Southern Hospitality was selected as best food by 4 of the 5 people. The fifth person loved it too but selected another place as her first.
The brisket was fork tender, melted in your mouth and the sauces at the table added to the flavor. The mac and cheese was rich and creamy and toasted and bubbly. The nachos were so huge that 3 people shared them and split a brisket sandwich. I had collard greens with chunks of pork hocks which made them taste amazing. Besides the great food the server was bubbly and pleasant and made great suggestions. The only complaint I would have is that the food came up from a stairway on a lower level and the opening of the stairs was right in front of the outside door; being winter the food wasn't as hot as I would have liked it. Overall though, it was great tasting food with hefty portions. Price wise it was moderate for New York.

“Great BBQ for the city, fun place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

I loved the spacious basement lounge waiting area, we ordered some drinks down there while we waited. We were seated directly next to another couple, which was awkward. Even a small gap between the tables would have been nice. The service was great (the busser rocked, he kept our table clean the entire time).
The fried green tomatoes were delicious but you only get 3 slices for $10!! that's about $3.30 a slice, way overpriced. It's not even enough for two people, like can we get at least a 4th slice please? We split the king combo and it was definitely enough to share. The brisket, fried chicken, ribs, and grits were great. My husband is from Texas and he was pleased!

“Southern Good”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 4, 2014

This past Sunday after church I decided to try something new. I went to try out Southern hospitality's Sunday brunch. The prices were great you can grab a great meal for under $20. Once you buy an entrée you get unlimited mimosa as well, which is great if you're a drinker. I ordered the fried chicken biscuit entrée that came with crispy fries. It was great and the barbecue sauce was sweet. I will definitely visit again. In addition they had a live band and great frun environment.

“Lots of food for good prices!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2014

We've been to New York twice and this restaurant several times! The food is very good and you get A LOT in one serving. The mac and cheese is one of the best I've ever ate. The staff is friendly. The atmosphere is great. The only thing we ever wish when we are there is for Justin Timberlake to show up! (Huge fans!) It's also great walking to it from Times Square or Madison Square Garden. Long but good walk to see some of the buildings.
