Description: SOUTHERN HOSPITALITY is an authentic Memphis-Style BBQ restaurant and bar. We boast some of the finest southern food found this side of the Mason Dixon Line. We feature traditional specialties including Dry Rubbed BBQ Ribs, Sweet and Sticky Baby Back Ribs, Crispy Southern Fried Chicken, Fried Pickles, and Mac & Cheese that you'll never forget. Our Southern fare is complimented by juicy corn fed Steaks, grilled jumbo Gulf Shrimp with Rosemary Grits, and lighter fare like our Watercress and Praline Salad, and Grilled Salmon with Black Eyed Peas. In addition to our fine cuisine, we offer a full line of draft beers, an extensive list of sipping tequilas, and over 50 of the Country's finest Bourbons. World renown wine expert, Gary Vaynerchuk, has hand selected an eclectic wine list that pairs beautifully with our diverse menu.

“Nice spot in Hell's Kitchen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 28, 2012

We were in the mood for something different, and had our 2 kids with us for a family trip into the city. It's a 3 minute walk from the Intercontinental Hotel . This was the perfect spot. The service was honestly top notch, and fast. Pulled Pork nachos were off the hook. Ribs were good as was the southern fried chicken. Large portions too. Great spot for a chill hangout, not too fancy for young kids, and the overall vibe was chill. Would def. come back. I could care less if JT owns it or not. Food and service were very good. Nothing in the city is cheap so I expect to pay just about everywhere I go.

“Good food, good service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 23, 2012

Met up with some friends after work and we were hanging out in the restaurant row area and stumbled upon Southern Hospitality. I had recognized the name from somewhere so we thought we'd give it a try. For a Wednesday night they were quite crowded but service was good and we were seated pretty quickly. Decor is cool, and the menu is mostly southern comfort food (as expected). Mixed drinks are average price for hte city ($12-14) and beers are reaonsably prices. We started off with the artichoke dip for a app (good portion and the dip was excellent) and I ended up getting the grilled portobello sandwich. It was good but I wouldn't write home about it. My bf got the pulled pork quesadilla's and he raved about them. Overall the experience was good..but pricey. The bill for 3 of us with 2 drinks each and appetizer, 2 sandwiches and a quesadilla was $208.

“Nice atmosphere - chain food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012

Can't beat having a live bluegrass group playing at the bar! Great beverage selection. Food was well prepared - and very much to a chain-restaurant level. Still - good value for NYC for those wishing to have some southern hospitality.

“Solid choice”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2012

I really enjoyed this place. The BBQ was good, maybe not KC or Memphis good, but certainly better than I expected in NYC. The atmosphere was excellent; it was a fun place to hang out at the bar and enjoy some good food. I'll certainly be back.
