“LA LA”

The food is ok. Not bad.The place smells of cooking fat. I got sore eyes. Service was very good,
They do not sell sparkling water and dont have a liquer licence.

“Great find - worth seeking out in the city”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

Took a chance based on reviews on yelp and tripadvisor. What a hit! Fabulous place. Friendly service, great food all around. The goat cheese tart is indeed as fabulous as everyone says! Entrees were delicious (got the duck). Highly recommended. BYOB is an added bonus and saves you a ton of cash. GO!!

“Very good restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Very good restaurant, BYOW with no corking fee. I was visiting from Montréal, Québec with my girlfriend and we chose this place based on reviews and were not disappointed! Very cozy and intimate ambience. I had the Tournedos rossini (filet mignon with foie gras) which was exquisite! The tray with the sides was delicious too (especially the cauliflower purée!). We asked for more! Definitely recommended!

“Bring your own wine and an appetite for good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 18, 2012

Six of us ate here because we could bring wines to share--no liquor license so it is a Bring Your Own Bolttle. I thought the food was very good. I had the chevre tart and pork with morel mushrooms. Others enjoyed the same or other dishes. One had the special salad of watermelon and feta cheese. Our server was attentive and very willing to chill our white wines or make room for our numerous bottles and uncork t hose we wanted him to uncork. Others who had dined there before said the service was not always that good but based on my experience on my first visit I have already recommended La Sirene to someone for food and service.

“Great BYOB and food experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 13, 2012

Sunday evening, only seat 4 ppl with reservation, but we had a wonderful time. Goat cheese tart and new ravioli dish (with black truffle cream sauce) were just fabulous. the fois gras (although mispronounced by the waiter) was delicious as well. Main entrees were excellent. No pushing us out the door and since it's BYOB drastically improved the end result of the bill. Would highly recommend if down by Holland Tunnel/Canal/Varick.
