This hotel is stylish and beautiful. It looks like something out of Wallpaper magazine. The rooms do not dissapoint. They are large for New York, the beds are fabulous and they have minibars. The bathrooms are clean and comfortable. The problem is the noise. After getting a great room on the 3rd. floor I went into my room to take a quick nap but immedietly I noticed the noise. Garbage trucks, cabs honking, etc. I know New york is loud but I should be able to sleep in my room. I called front dest and asked for a quieter room. I was given a room on the 8th floor and went about my day. When I got back that night at well after midnight yet, the noise level was high enough that I could hardly sleep. At that point I stayed up watching t.v. until 3. I fell asleep but was upset that I spent $240 for a great room with so much noise outside. It doesn't make sense. The staff is attentive and professional, the rooms are state of the art, but it is ruined by the loud garbage trucks and other noise makers that permeate the streets as late as 3 in the morning. If you stay here make sure to bring some ear plugs and stay on a one of the top floors.
