Fantastic place to stay. Great area - quiet but convenient.
Just like owning your own brownstone!
Try Cafe Luxembourg round the corner...

Room Tip: Library Suite - fantastic. Just like a private apartment

We just got back from staying in the Opera Suite for Thanksgiving week. We chose this place because of its proximity to the parade route and also many great Upper West Side restaurants. The Owners and housekeeping staff were wonderful. The room was very spacious. Our 5 year old daughter was traveling with us and the room is so well planned, we almost didn't know she was there after she went to sleep - we could watch tv from the main sleeping area while she slept on the sofa bed in the front of the suite without disturbing her. The kitchen is well equipped and thoughtful snacks are provided. If you want to feel like you are at a nice, private home while in NYC - this is the place to stay. Thanks for a great week.

Room Tip: Opera Suite was on the main level and has a small terrace and baby grand piano.

My second trip to the Inn confirmed my experiences the first time around. Last time, I stayed in the Spa Suite and thought nothing could be better. I was wrong: this time's visit to the Library Suite reset the scale. The Library Suite is huge, comfortable, aesthetically designed, and nearly flawless (the slightly tight, slightly dark bathroom is the only downside). The innkeepers and the housekeeper are all truly lovely. The innkeepers not only stored our luggage after check out, but they also opened up an empty suite for us so that we could rest before our train. Thanksgiving at the Inn has become a tradition, and I will absolutely be in the Library Suite again next holiday season.

My boyfriend booked this marvelous place as a surprise and when we pulled up in front I was like, where is the hotel? Then he's all ringing some strangers doorbell and I was soo confused. I soon realized that we were at the right place and it was some place indeed. We stayed in the Library Suite the first night which was opulent, cozy, and had that homey warm feeling which makes you truly relax. All of the goodies were just so thoughtful, from the pastries, fresh OJ, to the comfy bath robes, jazz cd's and books galore. The Aldo's coffee was a delightful treat! The second and third night we stayed in the suite on the first floor with the little patio out back. Here we would wake up every morning put on our robes and have our breakfast spread out there smelling the fresh air and reading the Times. This place is historically romantic and a definite must.

Our apartment was lovely, warm and charning and on a quite street. Fresh flowers, fruit, wine and snacks awaited us. Also a variety of breakfast supplies for the morning. Service was efficient and Innkeepers met all our needs. This was our second trip to the Inn and we thoroughly enjoyed both visits.

New York is the most exciting city in the world. We love the energy. What a fabulous retreat to calm down and recharge for another city adventure.

The Inn New York City is an oasis. Close to the bustling upper west side area around Broadway and 72nd, the Inn nestles on a quiet street merely a block away.

Where else can one find an entire floor of a beautifully kept Brownstone with all the snacks, homey knickknacks and comfortable furnishings. It is like coming home to your safe place to let every muscle relax.

Our only disappointment was leaving. We look forward to frequent return visits.

Room Tip: Each suite has a unique theme. Try them all.

My husband was a little skeptical about staying in a smaller hotel in New York, but any fears were allayed as soon as we opened the door to our suite. The room was beautifully decorated. The kitchenette was fully stocked with fresh fruit, drinks, and plenty of fresh baked goodies for breakfast. There was even a small chocolate cake to celebrate our anniversary. I highly recommend the spa suite which has an in-room sauna and jacuzzi complete with an assortment of bath gels and other bath ammenities. There is a king size bed and the New York Times is delivered to your door every morning.
The place is located within walking distance of the subway. The street itself is quiet and residential. I woud definitely recomment this place for a romantic getaway!
