My friend and I tried the Mermaid Inn for my birthday dinner. We both decided on the salmon dish, which is unusual for me as I just recently started eating salmon and I am still a little unsure of the fish. Anyway, we started off with the half lobster and the grilled shrimp & avocado slider. Both were very, very tasty and we enjoyed them very much. The salmon was outstanding, I ordered mine without the sauce and it was superb. We were both very happy with our meals and the cost was reasonable as well. Our waiter, I believe his name was Junior, was very good as well. I have absolutely no complaints and the meal was very, very good. I will say that the hostess' seemed a bit pretentious, I didn't care for their slight attitudes. we went on a Tuesday evening and no reservation was needed, we were seated right away and although the dining room started to fill, there was plenty of seating still when our meal was over and we were exiting the restaurant.
