Tucked away in the Lower East Side in Chinatown, Bacaro is a gem. Most of the tables are downstairs in a brick walled candlelit room...very reminiscent of some of my favorite spots in Paris. The menu was well priced and service was efficient and friendly. For main courses, we had the braised pork shoulder over polenta and the pasta with duck ragu. Both were delicious. The wine list is fairly priced at about 2x retail. We had a great barolo for $46. Total tab including 2 appetizers, 2 entrees, 1 dessert, wine and bottled water was $130.
