I've heard fantastic reviews about this place, but unfortunately it didn't live up to the hype for me (especially at the price). The menu choices were a bit limited, and seemed to cater more to people used to eating meat. We started with the black eyed pea cake, which was delicious and tasted like a samosa. However, it was fried and extremely small for the price. I ordered the mezze platter, which was bland. My boyfriend got the phyllo roulade, which was really tasty. Our friends ordered a pasta dish and risotto....they seemed to enjoy those. We also had wine and the lemon cheesecake, which was delicious. Overall the food was good, but not worth the $105 + tip that our bill came to for 4 people. I guess that's typical NYC.
