“grandeur soho style”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2013

My wife and me had the pleasure of being hosted by Michele and Albert this June. Their place is in a great location, near to the metro, near (walking distance) to both downtown and mid-town. Their place is amazingly cozy, with an enormous living room full of art, something you will not find easlly or cheaply in Manhattan. Also, both hosts are stupendous with their hospitality, laid back attitude and eagerness to help you. The breakfast is unconditionally top class, mainly thanks to the delicious sweet bread and croissants they procure evey morning.
Yes, you have to walk up some stairs. Their lift is not operational in some crucial hours (after 20, or on sundays) so that gives you some cardio workout, and depending on your fitness level , some mild swearing, but it is totally worth it.

Quality/price ratio absolutely great. Top class.

Room Tip: all my comments apply to the rooms on the 7th floor, I have been told that the 5th is even better. G...

We stayed for 3 nights while in the city for daughter's graduation. Loved the location, walking to all points Soho, galleries, great eateries, shopping and subway a short and fun walk. Our hosts were thoughtful and generous with their time, ideas, answering questions and to have lovely conversations with.
We stayed in their main residence on the 5th floor. We will definitely return.

Wow where do I start???? Every aspect of the stay was amazing, the hosts were phenomenal!!!! We had a small group traveling to New York for an athletic competition and required a special diet, the hosts totally accommodated us, they know Paleo and can make the bed and breakfast work within those requirements. The rooms were unique and fun the artwork incredible, The accommodations with access to the kitchens perfect for a stay in the City.
I cannot say enough about the hosts and their genuine hospitality!!!!

Room Tip: The Philipine room ROCKS!! Total privacy with all the amenities of a B&B

We spent one week in this very nice place. Michèle, Albert, Philipine and Scott are very friendly. We really enjoy the 7th floor in the art of the gallery. Every morning we had coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, a muffin and some delicious bread. The A4 sheet prepared by the host with all the place to go (restaurants, concert, flea market, ...) is very nice, we enjoy each place recommended. Soho is closed to major activities in Nyc by walking, subway, bus or taxi. Don't hesitate any more, it's the right place to enjoy Big Apple.
Special thanks to Philipine for the delicious pancakes.
Great place, we intend to come back in the same place as soon as possible.

I spent two weeks at this lovely artistic loft B&B. 4 nights on the 7th floor space and 10 nights on the 5th floor space. 7th floor is more private and that's where the main gallery is located. The space is modern and beautifully designed, with spacious living, dinning and kitchen space. The 5th floor is where the hosts’ home is located, so it has more of a shared home environment. I really liked both spaces. The hosts are incredibly friendly and caring. They really care about your comfort. They are also very helpful in recommending areas to visit or eat. I felt like I was spending time with good friends or family. My rooms were bright with windows facing Lafayette Street. The bed was very comfortable. I really enjoyed meeting the other guests also. Because I stayed for two weeks, I met a variety of European visitors and spent mornings talking with them during breakfast. I chose this B&B for the location and the artistic environment, and was not disappointed. The location is perfect in the heart of Soho, close to galleries, restaurants and shopping. I enjoyed walking around the small neighborhood streets. The subway stations are close by. Traveling alone, I spent most evenings having dinner with Michele, Albert and their daughter Philipine. I also met the sweetest small dog, Scout. I highly recommend this B&B and I would stay there again in the future.

Room Tip: Rooms on the Lafayette street side are brighter but more noisy. The other two rooms are more quiet b...

Michele and Albert are wonderfully welcoming hosts. Staying at their place was a pleasure! Loved having breakfast amidst beautiful works of art by Albert and friends. Lots of nice restaurants within 5min walk from the loft. Michele and Albert provide a road map of todo's that is specifically designed so that you have to return to NY a couple more times to complete everything :-) Well played!

Room Tip: On the 7th floor, Philipine's room is probably quiter as it is farther away from the street and...
