We recently had Sunday brunch at Perilla while spending a weekend in NYC. I read about the restaurant on a NYC brunch blog and saw that it had a Zagat rating of 27. The restaurant was surprisingly empty/half full; not something I am used to when having brunch in the big apple.
The menu was small but almost all of the items were unique and interesting. They served delicious mini-muffins in lieu of bread. Their salads were fresh and tasty. My wife and I both had the spicy duck hamburger. I usually avoid the buns when I eat hamburgers but the brioche buns served with these hamburgers were outstanding and the burgers themselves were decadent. The accompanying fries were amazing. This was one of the most reasonably priced meals we had in NYC and without any compromise on the quality of the food or the service.
