“Neighborhood Inn in New York City”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 27, 2014

Nice cozy hotel one block from the Seaport area. Staff was wonderful, Robert in particular. Interested in our trip, gave us great advice for finding some necessities and restaurants (Paris Cafe across the street!!). Room was a 4th floor corner with lots of windows and a spectacular view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Room was very comfortable and nicely appointed. The Seaport Inn is working hard to make a comeback after hurricane Sandy. They are doing a great job. We will stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for corner room with view of Brooklyn Bridge.

This hotel provided good value for money for being situated in Lower Manhattan. Straight forward and comfortable living standard, clean room and very comfortable bed. Breakfast OK, simple but about what you would expect for this level of hotel. Staff friendly and helpful

Great hotel for the price. Great value with plenty of amenities. Nice rooms, breakfast included, quiet location, friendly staff. What more could you ask for in a NY hotel. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a good value.

Stayed 3 nights the end of Dec. The staff are among the most friendly we have experienced. Pleased to have a room with a view of the Brooklyn Bridge. Hotel and surrounding area were quiet. Breakfast was crowded some mornings, but staff opened an overflow area for eating. Easy walking distance to a number of attractions and a Metro station. There is no need for taxis use. We used train and Metro from JFK airport with suitcases. We would definitely stay again.

Room Tip: Ask for a view of the Brooklyn Bridge.

The seaport is in a cool part of town that I hadn't previously explored. The rooms are clean and adequate, and the value is very strong. Rooms are small but neat; offering free wi-fi is a really nice benefit. Very short on amenities (e.g., toiletries, aspirin) but there is a pharmacy about 3 blocks away that's open 24 hours.

Stayed for a week at this very good Seaport hotel. Though the area is still rebuilding itself it is a nice environment close to the metro at Fulton St and the financial area. Rooms were a little tired, but this was more than made up for by the staff, especially Douglas on the front desk who was very welcoming and helpful. Breakfast were good with all the basics and the fact that coffee was available all day helped. Excellent free cookies in the evening were worth trying. The location of this hotel makes it an affordable option to explore downtown.

Room Tip: The Paris cafe is worth a visit.

The Best Western Seaport Inn Downtown offered a warm, welcoming stay for our family with 2 kids. Easy walk to sites such as the 9-11 Memorial and boat for Ellis Island/Statue of Liberty. Kids loved the fresh baked cookies in the lobby (probably took more than they share!) and we all found something to our liking at breakfast -- nice to have something free in NYC! A delightful surprise was the view from our room -- the Brooklyn Bridge!
