“Cool boutique- like hotel loads of fun and a good price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013

Myself and two friends stayed here through fashion week weekend and we took the larger room. It wasn't the biggest but it suited us just fine and we had loads of luggage! The hotel is modern and has everything you could need for a weekend stay. Location is great for 5th ave, central park, subway and access to other areas of New York. The bar and the Ava lounge were great as we got snowed in one night. Disappointed we were forced to check our coats in considering we were guests at the hotel but never mind. Beds were amazing and room was cleaned to perfection. Lobby staff were friendly and helpful and the bar made great drinks. I would avoid ordering room service if possible as we had a very expensive and over priced breakfast one day. Other than that is great and I would recommend to anyone who doesn't want to stay at a boring Marriott or other chain type hotel. Had no problem with wifi in the bar and opted to pay $9.95 per day to have upstairs in our room too. Take advantage of the hotels car service as we got an SUV to take us back to the airport for only a little more than a yellow cab. One last thing... Concierge (sharp dresser) is really great and really helpful when I tried to make some reservations he tried to do them for me

This small and stylish hotel is in a very nice part of Manhattan, convenient for MOMA, Times Square and Central Park.
Over three nights on business I stayed in a suite and a standard room. The suite was a good size and well appointed - it occupied a corner of the hotel building so plenty of windows and natural light. There are Bose radios and large TVs in the living room and the bedroom, and lots of room to spread out. The standard room was compact, but big enough for the key business of sleeping and washing.
The rooms have purple UV-style lighting strips under the beds and in the desks and tables. It's all very funky; part fish tank, part nightclub, but they're easily switched off when the novelty wears off.
The hotel has a really nice bar on the ground floor and a lounge bar/club on the top floor. The hotel restaurant is an Italian, and it's fine if you really don't want to walk anywhere.
All the staff I encountered were excellent - cheerful, good humoured and happy to help with everything that we threw at them.
I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for business or leisure.

Rooms are super small and the lights under the bed makes you feel like you are in a club! Get ready for a very loud night sleep the club upstairs and very busy broadway could be too much if you are not used to it.
Great service, location, bar and renovated rooms.
I wouldn't stay here if I had to pay too much..

Travelled to NYC for 5 nights in March 2012, weather was so warm and sunny. We booked our hotel through Hotwire.com so we didn;t know what we'd end up with while booking. We were delighted on arrival with the look of the hotel and the location- literally a few blocks from Times Square. Unfortunatley our room was really tiny, we made use of the cocktail rooftop bar on occassion although we never made it to the club(Ava I think it's called?) The bar draws a very well heeled crowd for after dinner drinks, I think they were mostly lawyers. There's a lovely little deli/cafe across the road for breakfasts etc. It was the perfect base for our trip. One evening when we came home there was an MTV camera crew filming some ''celebs'' entering the night club. Free wi-fi in the common areas too.

I got a pretty good rate on this place via booking.com. i have stayed in small trendy NY hotels before so wasnt expecting much. small rooms are fine with me as Im staying along on business and really only sleeping here. Room was clean, theres a desk a tv and a very nice BOSE radio, which is a nice touch. Lighting is interesting, lots of low level blue lights in the room. Bathroom is tiny but the shower was a decent size. Havent tried the breakfast, but noted that room service is not 24hrs...starts at 6am. WIFI in room is good, but 10 dollars per 24hrs and is PER DEVICE...this is not great if like me you have 3 devices that all use wifi. Would stay here again if the rate was again cheaper than all the nearby hotels. If I was with my wife, I would ask for a bigger room though as the standard is really a single.

Room Tip: If you are a couple get a bigger room.

This is a nice hotel, not to far away from fifth avenue (about 6 min walk). The beds are very good and the staff is friendly. You can have breakfast at the restaurant just below. But there is nog buffet so you have to choose from the menu. This was nog included in my room rate so I had to pay separate. The hotel is very clean. Watch out there is another dream hotel in NY so if you take a cab be sure to mention the address :)

Room Tip: watch out that your room is not to close to the rooftop bar..might be a bit noisy @ night. Breakfast...

My fiance and I traveled to NYC and we stayed at the Dream Hotel; not one complaint! The hotel is simply gorgeous, with a rooftop bar that is amazing. It is very clean and all of the floors and rooms are VERY modern!

It is a great location and in proximity to a lot of activities as far as New York City goes. We were able to walk to Times Square! We did have to take cab every once in a while, but that was mainly by choice because we didn't feel like walking.

Definitely recommended and plan on staying here our next trip!
