“Good Location and Comfortable Room”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

Overnighted here and service was quick and efficient and was up to my room within 5 minutes of checking-in. Room is a okay for a single traveler in NYC as never in room anyhow and everything was there and well maintained with good Wi-Fi and TV channels for late night viewing.

Location is great as in Chelsea area and a lot of good eating and drinking places around to choose from and also near subway and shopping. All in all would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great value hotel - clean, central with friendly staff and excellent free WiFi. Within a block or two of a number of subway lines, great proximity to restaurants and takeaways and just far enough from the bustle of Times Square so its a little quieter. Small rooms perfectly adequate with comfy beds and neat bathrooms. Spend a bit extra on a 'City View' room for great views of new WTC tower. We spent a week there and were perfectly happy.

I enjoyed my 3 night stay at this Hotel. It was central and the staff were very good. Managed to get a good price on the rooms. Not sure why people are moaning about the size of the rooms!. Who wants to stay in bed when you can explore a wonderful City.

Room Tip: Book via BA holidays for a great rate,

Knowing hotel rooms in Manhattan are small but expensive, this room was "as expected". We shared the room with 3, small beds are not a problem, but it would be nice to have a decent place to stack our suitcases....
But, it is still about location, location, location. So no complaints about that.
Compared to other hotels, the room was even affordable for NYC standards. It was value for money!

For me was more important that the staff was great, very helpfull and real hosts!
The room was clean, the whole appearance of the hotel was ok.
However the restaurant looked awfull, not a real cozy atmosphere, we never tried it. But across the street we found some real nice restaurants.
Most important question in a review: would you stay in this hotel again: that's a big YES.

i am used to small rooms but this was silly small for $325/night
i did not think there were still smoking rooms and the hotel should let you know before you get put up in one. Wallpaper was peeling in the corners and tiles in bathroom were loose and falling-
curtains did not fully close allowing in too much light in the am.
better options for the price include indigo hotel.

Room Tip: if you have to stay here make sure you ask if it is a non smoking room and get a room on a higher fl...

Hi RogerZ - Thank you for your feedback. I was actually able to locate your reservation. I show that you booked via a Travel Agent, and the room was originally reserved as a smoking king bedded room, which you received. I apologize that we were not able to accommodate you in a non-smoking room. Please feel free to reach out to me directly at GM@HI-NYC.COM so that I can personally address your concerns. Thank you.

We had a great experience in this hotel! Nicole and Mariadis have been very helpful with us and they rescued our vacation! at the beginning we booked another hotel which was so bad and so we moved into the Holiday Inn, then our holiday started (first it was a nightmare)! Nicole helped us in finding the best solution at the very last minute, she was so nice with us and gave us a room with an amazing view on the Empire state building (my room was at the 22nd floor)! She also helped us with a late check out and with the price of the room ;) Mariadis too was so friendly and helpful, I have to thank them from the bottom of my heart 'cause they made the difference in our holiday!
The room was quite big, it had a king size bed very comfortable. The bathroom was small but new and with everything inside (hairdryer too). The hotel is in a perfect position to visit the city: only 10 mins walking to Times Square and 2 blocks to flatiron.
The hotel is super recommended! We'll come back for sure!

Stayed here for 4 nights. Location was good and within walking distance of Macy's and empire state building with a subway station 2 blocks away for places further a field.

Room was on the small side but i suppose thats the norm in Manhattan but was well looked after and cleaned daily.

Would recommend to friends and consider next time we visit
