“Great Jazz Venue”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 4, 2013

I have been to the Blue Note. The heart of jazz and located in the Village area, but this place is just wonderful for its location...location..location. Great view of Columbus Circle and looking over Central Park and the line of Central Park East high rises. As the sun sets with it's reflection on the high rises, colors change and the night opens up with all it's lights. The music was just great when we were there. Room is designed with perfect acoustics in mind. Then you leave there and walk outside to the dancing fountains in the Circle...nice...very nice. Only flaw would be at least to me and my wife, the food. It is good, but not great, however, the rest of the experience more than makes up for that fact.

“Great for Music, Not so for Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2013

This may be "jazz in a mall"--but it is a great place to hear music--it was built for that purpose. The view of Columbus Circle cannot be beat--and there is not a bad sightline in the place. What a great evening. (The food is not great--there are many better options nearby).

“Smooth jazz at great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013 via mobile

Perfectly situated, great atmosphere. Staff is nice, dood is ok. The best place to be voor jazz in NY! Entrance is quit expensive, but when you go to the second line-up, you can stay for the late night session.

“A really first-rate experience”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 6, 2013

We enjoyed everything about this visit. Great music, good cocktails, extraordinary location and view and friendly staff. It was extremely well-organised and we felt comfortable there as a mature couple with an audience of all ages. Great fun! A table is best if you can manage it.

“Beautiful Space, Great Views, Sublime Music - Not To Be Missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 28, 2013

Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola is located in a gorgeous, modern, intimate space. The circular walls are covered in blonde wood. Colors are muted and elegant. The east-facing windows on either side of the stage provide iconic views of Columbus Circle and Central Park. If you're lucky, you can watch the moon rise.

There are no bad seats at Dizzy's. The center of the space is filled with tables for dining. Bar stools and a counter form the perimeter along the walls. The acoustics and sound system are fabulous. We sat at a table right in front of the stage and the volume was just right, not at all loud as one might expect.

The food is southern-style. Snacks, desserts, and multi-course dinners can all be had at reasonable prices. We were happy with what we ordered for dinner, particularly the shrimp and grits. Drinks were fine. Service was excellent. As expected, there is a cover charge.

The music was classy, classic jazz preformed by Catherine Russell. What a voice and what energy!

In short, Dizzy's is a wonderful, grown-up venue for jazz lovers. We will be back.

Tip: Make reservations on line. Come before the doors open for your performance to get the seats you want. Order dinner.
