“Its Park Avenue”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

If you want to see quiet wealth this is a great place to start. Behinds the walls of these grand understated buildings are apartments the size of mansions and woth 10 times as much. Worth taking a walk on on your way to Museum mile.

“It's Not a Street; It's an Avenue”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

Street go North and South. Avenues go East and West. Fifth Avenue, Park Avenue, Lexington Avenue, Tenth Avenue, Sixth Avenue, Third Avenue. Take a cab to some place that you want to see on Fifth Avenue, such as St. Patrick's Cathedral. Don't waste your time hoofing it for miles up and down the Avenues. Take a cab and you will see more. It's not the Avenues that are exciting; it's what's you can see on the Avenues. How about Rockefeller Center across from St. Patrick's Cathedral!

“Great sightseeing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 21, 2012

Try to walk up Park Avenue from Grand Central. Nice to look at the old apartments and churches and hotels. Spring is especially a good time to sightsee, especially when the NYC Public Arts puts up installations. Worthy stops: Waldorf Astoria, St. Bartholomew's and St. Ignatius Loyola

See where you'd like to have your NYC apartment for those trips to Manhattan for a weekend or longer stay to get your culture.

“Boring”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Park Avenue is no longer exclusive, no longer elegant no longer unique luxury, it has become one more expensive but boring neihborhood.
