“TWO WORDS....skip it!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed today NEW

I stayed one night at the Hilton.

Two words are UGH and UNION.

Pros:

great location

Cons:
NO FREE WI-FI. I have to comment on this one. For a $400+ room, and in 2015, free wifi should be a given. Please do not nickel and dime me!
Room was very noisy from hall. Housekeepers chatting.
Bell staff very unhelpful. I was asked twice to carry my own bag to "day storage". Rude.
Entry to hotel is covered, so it captures all the fumes and cigarette smoke.....felt like I needed to shower every time I left and came back in.
No actual restaurant.
Instant phone message was a sales pitch for Hilton timeshares.

My partner, son and I stayed at the New York Hilton Midtown this weekend. We came into the city to see a Broadway show and visit the 9/11 museum. Hilton Midtown is a great location for visiting the city, close to major Metro stops and about a 10 minute walk to Central Park and far enough from Times Square that you don't hear taxis beeping horns all night. Room was small but clean and the floor we were on was quiet, always a nice surprise. Not a bad hotel for the price, given the location.

The location of this hotel is great. A few streets from Central Park and next to 5th Avenue and Times Square, and just in front of MOMA. The hotel has zero charm, but service was always correct. Rooms are dark, but spacious. I wouldn't really recommend it, but I spent a week there and it went ok.

2ND visit to NYC,stayed for 7 nights March 2015, hotel very clean, rooms were ample size, beds were very comfortable. Lovely dining facilities, ample choice for any pallet. Staff were pleasant and helpful, would recommend and return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Easy access to all floors via lifts for designated floors, this cut down on waiting for lifts

Green Features: Hotel lobby was a hub of activity, great for people watching with a glass of fizz.Nothing was to much trouble for any member of staff.

stayed for 5 days with my husband & 2 children. Booked 2 executive rooms and was given floor 39 & 41, lovely big rooms with great views and comfortable beds. The breakfast is very good and the afternoon appetisers where very welcome. The bar area is good and we had drinks and snacks which were reasonable. Could not fault the staff, very attentive in what is a very busy hotel. I would recommend this hotel for a good base when sightseeing in NY.

Room Tip: Go for a high floor if in your budget

Stayed here for small meeting that took place in the hotel. Check-in line was short and quick, particularly for such a huge hotel. And, much to my mid-west surprise, every staff member was helpful, professional and courteous....particularly the banquet staff that were also very personable. Room was large, particularly for NYC and recently renovated. Price wasn't bad for NYC. Would recommend and stay again.
