“Very clean and comfortable room, excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed yesterday NEW

We stayed for a week in the Midtown Hilton while our child was in another room with a tour group. We stayed in room 3311 (33rd floor). It had a King bed and a pullout (so our daughter could join us for a couple nights at the end of the trip). The room was spacious by NY standards, and very clean. The bed was excellent and we slept soundly. We rarely heard noise outside our room, only when someone was walking by and talking loudly. We heard NOTHING through the walls. The rooms was updated, had a nice glass walled shower, and we requested extra towels a couple times and they were left just as requested. We did not eat in the restaurants other than to pick up some oatmeal and coffee on the way out the door. But the entire property seemed to be clean and updated. The location is excellent...just a few blocks to Times Square, Central Park, Carnegie Hall, or Rockefeller Center. I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Room Tip: Room 3311 was near the end of the hall so it was quiet, no ice or elevator noise. View was of an off...

The hotel is on the East Side and its a perfect location for any travelers. The hotel is very large and the rooms are of decent sizes for New York. Its an average hotel, the rooms are comfortable but are still very basic.

Perhaps the most important piece of any journey my family undertakes are the people we encounter. The Mid-Town Hilton has consistently gone above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. I would highly recommend staying with them and I plan to do so again.

The Hilton chain should re think whether this hotel is entitled to carry the brand name.
Yes, it's huge and very well situated but with these old rooms, it's definitely not worth the very high price.
Staff is very efficient and cordial but that's not enough. Need a major renovation fast.

Arrived slightly early but was well taken care of by the wonderful front desk staff. It's nice to be greeted and welcomed after a couple of hours on the train by a competent and hard working staff. The hotel is what it is - big, overwhelming at times, cozy at other times. The room was fine. We paid for the upgrade. Rooms are the same size, so that's not what you pay for. Teh new renovated rooms are cool colors and modern fixtures. Some a bit odd. But it was peaceful and calming. Never a problem with the elevators. The banks that service certain floors work, unless you get on the wrong set of them (we didn't). The hotel sits between two taller buildings so a view isn't an option. We've stayed in the smallest room at this hotel and a normal room. We don't spend much time in them anyway, but our traveling partners commented how clean the bathrooms were - and she's picky. The maids are outstanding. The bell staff is quick and ready to help. Great stay.

Room Tip: Again, either side is fine, given that the buildings on both sides are taller than this hotel...and...

Stayed here for 3 nights for business. I found the rooms to be on a larger size for NYC, though the amenities and room were average in terms of comfort and quality. Room was located on the 7th floor and street traffic was noticeable, but not enough to impact the quality of sleep. The noise from the hallway and adjoining rooms was more noticeable (of note this was during St. Patricks Day so this may not be the norm).

The location is great for business, as well as shopping and seeing some of the best sights NYC has to offer. Restaurants in the area can be pricey since they largely cater to businesses, but Hells Kitchen is a short walk and offers plenty of more affordable/non-chain options.

If traveling for business, or looking for a central location to shop, go to museums, central park etc. I would recommend this location. I typically prefer a boutique hotel, slightly off the beaten path, but the Hilton Midtown delivers exactly what I would expect of a Hilton property.

Hilton Midtown has a excellent location and a great Concierge service.
At two blocks away from Central Park and 3 minutes walking from Times Square this hotel as also a decent room size offer, something that is not so common in New York.
This level of hotel should provide Free Wi Fi not only in the Lobby but also in the rooms (in the rooms wi fi is NOT free access.

Room Tip: Choose always King rooms
