I do like your hotel because of the location and cleanliness. I have return to your hotel 3 times since 2008. I also tell other friends about your hotel because of the location of it. The only problem this time was the thin walls which I have never had a problem before. But I will come back......

This large hotel is just south of Central Park and minutes away from the Rockefeller Centre. MOMA is on the other side of the road. Rooms are large, with quiet air handling, but no minibar/fridge or coffee maker. There is also no restaurant on site, but light food is available at the two bars. There is also a large takeaway onsite - the Herb & Kitchen. The concierge is immensely knowledgeable and helpful and can advise on local resaurants, of which there are many.
As usual, there are no smoking rooms but there are smoking areas under cover at the front of the hotel. However, there is only one bench in the smoking areas and vagrants use it (until shooed away by security) and scour the ashtray for cigarette butts.

We were supposed to be booked into the Hilton on Times Square and quite disappointed to discover that we were not. This hotel, The New York Hilton Midtown has pretty basic facilities considering its high star rating. No coffee facilities in room, not even a bottle of water until the second day! The internet costs are a ridiculous price and no dining facilities to have a decent breakfast, all take away style.
We were in room 3554 which is adjacent to the service lift which we could hear continually rumbling up and down all through the day and night. The light fittings were broken and not functioning correctly and the bathroom had a loose power socket next to the sink, most dangerous.
Considering we were on the 35th floor there is terric road noise all night, possibly due to the ill fitting windows. The corridor outside had dirty linen trolleys full for the first two days.
All I can say on a positive note, the bed was comfortable. We were invited to join the Honors Club, but I think not! Really a big disappointment for our first stop on a six week tour. Happily no more Hilton Hotels are on our agenda.

Stayed here for 5 nights, partly for business. Given the hotel's size, the staff does a good job. Most of the requests we made were handled efficiently (more hangers, get the room safe to work), and the rooms were cleaned each day on time. The only snafu at the beginning was getting correct instructions for logging on to the internet (competing advice and phone numbers to call). Bed was comfortable with good quality sheets and pillows. The bathrooms are very small but functional - only workable for one person at a time. The rooms are relatively quiet because there really aren't that many rooms on any given floor (just one very long hallway per floor in the tower) and it is possible to open your windows a crack. Besides the convenient location, a plus of this hotel is a to-go snack bar with a relatively wide selection of drinks, salads, soups, fresh fruit, baked goods, etc. - definitely handy if you don't want to go out for every meal.

Green Features: Not clear. There were some recycling bins (I think) in the lobby. No separate recycling containers in the room.

My husband, son, and I stayed here for one night when we went to see Aladdin. It was within walking distance of the theater- took about 10-15 minutes to get there. The room was clean and comfortable, no complaints. We were on the 14th floor overlooking 6th Ave- there was a little bit of street noise but it wasn't too horrible. Restaurants in the area are expensive and bad, so take that into consideration and plan accordingly!

Great location in the Big Apple. Clean hotel and friendly staff. What you would expect from a hotel this size. No great location for dinner at the hotel. Breakfast buffet is very expensive, but also very good and you can get just about anything. Wifi was free. Amenities in the room are sparse, had expected more luxury for a hotel this size.

Hotel is in perfect location walking distance to most attractions. Hotel room was in good condition big and comfortably for 3 people. Though we had to pay extra tor an upgrade. Staff helpful and pleasant.

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter they like to use horns a lot
