“Nostalgic with great comedy.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 4, 2013

Good place if you want a feel of history and comedy. Has a good atmosphere, very small and expect to pay for entrance, and 2 menu items per person. Overall great experience and very good comedians.

“Worth going although I felt like I was shuttled through”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013 via mobile

My girlfriend and I decided to spend part of a weekend night here and find some entertainment in the village. Although I definitely enjoyed the show and the atmosphere is pleasant, I did feel like they shuttle you through their place. $48 cover for the two of us plus drinks cost about $80 for two hours of entertainment. Not absurd in NYC but also not a fantastic deal either. I'd recommend it but if you have some better plans, you should strongly consider them.

“Funny!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Went to the 11.30 nasty show on a wednesday. Well known comedians, funny, good atmosphere, tasty drinks. More than worth the money (10$ + 2 obligatory drinks.)
Tip: the earlier you show up before the show starts (ex. 30 min. if you have a reservation),- the closer you can get a table close to the stage. (If you would like to be a part of the show:)

“Good Laugh. Do as your told!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We had made a reservation for the 7pm show. Arrived at 6.30pm and there was a small queue. Get there half an before if you want a good seat. If you choose to sit at the front you will get picked on.
If you do get picked on and get a bit annoyed you cant shout back at them because you will be asked to leave. So bite your tongue.
The cellar is very small and they do pack you in, but this adds to a great atmosphere.
Staff I didn't think were very friendly. Sit there, Don't move your chairs, Switch your phone off, No cameras. Never with a please or thank you. I presume its just the New York way.
Cover charge is $20 and then you have to buy 2 items, which you pay for at the end. Food and drink is averagely priced for New York. But if you thinking of eating here I wouldn't bother. Very average at best. The show last an hour and half, long enough to have a good laugh. Worth a visit

“Good to do”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2013

We had never been to a comedy club and for our first time, we will do another. The disappointment was the headliner Darryl Hannah. He was stoned out of his head, wore sweatpants with stains and his set was maybe 15 minutes. The backup comedians saved the show, laughed until I cried. $75 all in for cover and 2 drink minimum, not outrageous for almost 2 hour entertainment in NYC.
