“A fantastic resource for families”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2011

Symphony Space offers a weekly performance series for families that brings in world-class music, dance and physical comedy from around the country. It's probably the best venue in the country to see "kindie rock" musicians perform, and both of their theaters are very clean and comfortable (which you can't say about all of the hipster family music venues these days). For older kids, they also have a monthly "Thalia Kids' Book Club" with amazing children's book authors like Brian Selznick, Chris Van Allsburg, Norton Juster, etc. NYC kids are lucky to have this place!
Tickets are priced affordably, too.

“Public space for public”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 16, 2011

Symphony Space holds a very dear spot in the heart of New Yorkers with all the wonderful shows it stages. After it's renovation, it remained true to its original and continued to be public fir public. Always keep it on your short list for things to do as they have amazing productions for arts, families and multicultural events. Become a member!!!
