“Fun time if you don't mind being forced to drink”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

The good...1) Great seats at table 22 directly in front of the stage 2) Funny show - good warmup acts and headliner Jack Johansen had us roaring 3) The buffalo chicken strips were yummy

The bad...1) Two minimum drink policy is stupid. I'd rather pay more for the ticket than be required to buy drinks, especially if I already had some before arriving 2) You have to line up early to get a good seat and they put you in the lounge to wait and encourage more drinking but if you buy a drink at the lounge, it doesn't count as part of the 2 drink minimum! 3) If you are in a party of 4, two people are seated with their back toward the stage so you have to turn your chair around to face forward which is uncomfortable.

Fun thing to do in NYC but be prepared for forced drinking. Also if using GPS don't confuse this place with the Gothum City Improv which is at a different address.

“Always stop here”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We always stay on W.24, so this place is only a 10-15 minute walk. We discovered it by accident and visit it every time we go to The City. We've seen several different shows from a headliner with 2-3 warmup acts to an all-star night to 'talent' night. All have been great and lots of fun. So what that there is a two drink min (one night I was on meds and only had 2 diets), but hey you're out on the night to have fun. The food is good also and the service is not only great, but funny when they are not too busy.

“Great time, hilarious!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

Yes you need to buy 2 drinks, no big deal. If you get the early they assign you a better seat as it is first come first serve. There is a bar downstairs where you wait, but those drinks don't count towards the 2 drink min. Do not get the VIP package, all seats are awesome, the food did not look great and you won't drink 150$'s worth of booze. Great time, very funny and I would go again.

“Not very funny”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 30, 2012 via mobile

Went to late all star show. If these were all stars would hate to see the rest. Not very funny. Still telling Sarah Palin jokes. Very big on sexual issues. No real political or daily life issues. Cover and two drink minimum. Fairly priced. Nice room, clean and well laid out. Good sight lines. Needs performers!,

“Great show”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 23, 2012

We went to a small improv show earlier in the week, but wasn't satisfied. So decided to pay up a bit more and see if we could get some world-class comedy. It was a Monday and the cover is lower (15$ if I remember correctly) than other days in the week. Mandatory 2 drinks a pax. They do have soft drinks for non-drinkers. Theatre is of a nice mid size and posh seats. Tables are arranged around the stage. If you want to be part of the act, take the first 2 rows of tables. Go early for good tables, we were there 1 hr before showtime and got a centrestage table.

The show itself was very good. Had about 4-5 10-min apiece acts before the main show (30min, the last one). Forgot his name, but the main show was very very good, original, world-class along the likes of Chris Rock. There were 2 other acts that were above average. We had a great evening! All in, we spend $60+ for 2 for drinks and cover. It was worth it.
