We spent a week in the Monet apartment in mid March. It was a wonderful retreat after spending the day seeing the sites of New York. We were able to return and have our own private oasis after site seeing. We never heard or saw the other guests during our visit (although we know it was fully booked). This unit is on the third floor overlooking a courtyard garden with great south light.
The accomodations were clean, the bed was excellent, the shower was powerful, and the kitchen was adequate. Don't plan to do any cooking there, but it useful for snacks and breakfast.
However, the neighborhood is full of a wonderful variety of ethnic restaurants. It is easy to walk to any type of restaurant you would want. The only problem is choosing which one. There is also the Magnolia Bakery only 4 doors away which supplies cupcakes for dessert. The area is also an fascinating one to explore on foot. We always felt very safe walking in the neighborhood around the townhouse.
We highly recommend the West Eleventh Townhouse and would definitely stay there again when visiting New York City.
