The West Eleventh Townhouse is situated in an favourable area. In this neighbourhood there is everything you need. A lot of bars, restaurants, supermarkets and so on. The Christopher St-Sheridan Sq Subway Station is not far away. We stayed in the Marcucci apartment from the 20th till the 27th of December 2009.

When we came into the Marcucci the first day, there was a warm welcome by Silvia. The instructions she gave, were very clear and understandable. As far as to assess Hercules and Therese are very nice persons. We don’t understand if there are people who cannot accept that when you lose the key, you have to pay $ 300. For us it wasn’t a problem. The Marcucci is very clean and has a pleasant and romantic atmosphere. There is also a very comfortable bed. We’ve stayed in a lot of comfortable hotels but this was the most
comfortable bed we’ve ever had. Housekeeping service every day.
The kitchen and bathroom are very small but sufficient. (Better small and clean than large and dirty). In the room there are a lot of boards to store your stuff. Our daughter and boyfriend stayed in the Monet apartment the same time. This apartment has also a very comfortable bed but a fully equipped kitchen and larger bathroom. We felt very safe in this recommendable townhouse. West Eleventh Townhouse in Greenwich Village: the best place in New York!

My mum and i stayed in the leonardo room... it was comfortable, personable, welcoming and cosy, and we much enjoyed occasionally meeting one of the owners as we walked through one of their living rooms to get to ours... Sylvia, who manages, couldn't have been more helpful. it is in a wonderful location, surrounded by nice restaurants, and perfectly placed between midtown and downtown. it does operate as a B&B and not a hotel, but they make that quite clear from the start - so the only difficulty we had with that was on our last day, collecting our bags to go to the airport in the rain and one of the owners wouldn't let us in until sylvia arrived, as pre-arranged. So it was a bit unfortunate, but entirely within the terms of the arrangement. It is far more enjoyable than a hotel and so lovely to be in the heart of such a historic neighbourhood. This is a much overdue review!

We stayed at West Eleventh Townhouse in the Caravaggio Apt for 8 nts in Nov./Dec 2008 and our friends stayed in the Monet and Marcucci Apts at thesame time. This place is in a great spot in Greenwich Village and is very quiet which was surprising seeing it is so central to so many restaurants and bars. The apartments were well furnished and had everything we need. We will definitely be back!

If you like "the village" this is a great place to stay. The owners and staff couldn't be more helpful and friendly. It's an easy walk to a great collection of restaurants, shops etc, with public transit very close by.
