“Fun museum and very relaxing to visit!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 4, 2013

This my second experience seeing a jewelry exhibit at this museum and both times the exhibit was well displayed and interesting. The museum is easy to get to and never crowded. The gift store is outstanding although I thought the jewelry prices were high even though much was hand crafted. An interesting selection that you would not see everywhere. A delightful afternoon, be sure to consider going to the restaurant "Robert at MAD" on the 9th floor, great food although on the expensive side. Great fun!!!! A well run museum with great staff.

“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2013

As a Jewelry designer I chose the MAD Museum as one of my favorite museums in the city. They always have great jewelry exhibits and also other cool ones all the time. The store is an amazing place to find cool and original gifts and presents.

“Interesting and enlightening small museum”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2013

After spending two weeks in New York doing all the main sights, we were pleasantly surprised by this museum. It is neatly laid out and organised, and the videos provide simple explanations about the exhibits and make you want to find out more. Thursday and Friday nights are pay-as-you-wish after 6pm.

“Nice surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2013

This is one of those museums I'd wanted to visit for a while, but never seemed to have time. It is a small building on Columbus Circle. While we were there, there were two exhibits going on. On the top floors was an exhibit about wood being used in art. One the middle-lower floors was an exhibit about costume jewelry. Both were pretty interesting. We were here about an hour.

“Great small museum with just the best design items”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2013

Wonderful small museum with several different exhibits. I recently saw the wood, jewelry exhibit and glass exhibit and stayed for several hours.

This is the kind of museum where you can feel a relationship with the designers, intimate and carefully written notes on the items as well as videos of artists at work.

A welcomed oasis in the world of museums.
