This delightful restaurant is located on the east side of 2nd Ave, between St. Marks and 9th St, and down a long hallway. Don't give up, since the restaurant is a great snapshot from Eastern Europe and a useful diversion from the typical pizza, burger, sushi menus of East Village.
My wife and I had dinner there and both her chicken dinner and my soup (try the soup) + perogies + desert were very good.
The service was satisfactory and the meal did not require bank financing.
