“Benjamin Steakhouse”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 22, 2012

Really great food, atmosphere and service. The steaks are outstanding, and the old word charm of the room, with its big open fireplace, is great.A little pricey , but you do certainly get what you pay for.

“40 percent polyester sheets,no a.c.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed April 20, 2008

The most unbelievable discovery_POLYESTER/ COTTON SHEETS,40 percent poly.
No working A.c crazy controls that dont work and have no temp scale.
Not enough double glazing to block out noise from trash trucks all night.
the lobby looks great, there is free internet, but trying to sleep with stale air and polyester sheets and trash truck noise is hard.
the rest of my complaints are not going to be listed as they could happen any where, but they point to a general level of management below an embassy suites( which i like) and no where near any of the very fine boutique hotels i have stayed in on Manhattan.
Front desk staff is very good, a major saving grace.
